The speaker came with mine, too. I didn't need it but I was buying off the lot. I never would have factory ordered it and I would have used that spot to store something else but is actually pretty nice and I've used it a few times.

They HAVE gone up!! WAAAY up. $595 now. Unbelievable. My Rubicon came with one. Only someone on the lot snagged it before I took possession. You can bet I called the sales manager on THAT. If I had to pay $595 for it, I was sure as hell gonna GET it. But for me it's completely worthless. They could have used that space for storage of something useful. Ummmmm...maybe like a battery charger!

Yeah, for most it’s probably a waste of money. Thankfully, mine gets used at least once a month. I work at a school and the Admin asks to barrow it for activities all the time.

IMO, it’s something that many people probably don’t even know they have.

I believe the answer is no to both, which makes it a modification. It's a visual modification.
