Visor issue anyone?

While lowering visor to open soft top, this happened. I keep pushing it back in but it comes out regularly . Anyone else run into this hiccup and possibly a fix?

Yes, do a search. It can either be fixed under warranty or there is a couple of fixes available on Amazon or ebay.

Pretty common on the JL and happened to mine. Fixed it with an 8mm collar from the hardware store. Here is a link to the thread on the JL forum with a lot of info.

Unfortunately it’s a very common problem.
Hasn’t happened to my 21 JT yet but did happen to the wife’s 20 JLU.
I ordered these:

Unlike many out there, these are metal. Also, theres 4 in an order, so I have a set for hers and mine.
They install quickly and easily, not very noticeable, and works well in hers thus far.

Mine just did the same thing. Order the Taccom plastic clips. $20 dollars on amazon and worth it in my opinion. Dont get the two screw one. Just get the half moon looking one with one screw so it wont interfere with the visor itself. 5 minute install and problem no more.

Mine popped out this week too. I thought maybe I had avoided it…

still in warranty but not sure I want to deal with it continuing to break.

The visor is broken, maybe you push it a few more times and it will fall off. But it's quite easy to fix that, go get a clip for it, flip your sun visor forward, remove the factory 'outboard' screw next to the visor post, install this clip, rotate it in to capture the band on the visor post, and tighten. that's what I did. I bought the sun visor clips from auxito, fyi.

I had that happen. I had the dealer fix it under warranty. No arguing or fuse.

Had mine fixed under warranty. I have bought the metal repair part for the next time. Mine lasted 18 months before breaking.

TACCOM makes these cheap plastic hooks and they sell them on amazon. Takes 30 seconds to install and fixes the issue.

get the Tacom thingies and fix it yourself. brinin it in to have dealer fix it will simply replace crappy broken one with crappy new one that will break

Both of my visors just broke last week, and I'm not really used them that often. Is this actually a something covered under warranty, JTRD is less than 2 years old?

I just ordered these on Amazon as they already have the modification you have to perform when ordering the TACCOM. I would think some gorilla glue to fix the broken parts and then the clips to make it last?
