My plumber, who i know fairly well and who has been a good family man in our community, is currently out on bond for his second road rage incident in which he shot someone. These have taken place in the last 2 years. This time he had to put up 75,000.00 to make bond. He won't get that back. He will be very lucky to avoid a prison sentence. He is 64 yrs old.

Anyone can legally carry in Florida, unless they have a felony conviction.
We aren’t talking about the legalities….. Doesn’t matter what the legalities are or aren’t. If someone wants a gun, they will find a way to get one. Legally Or illegally.

If you had a clean record and wanted a gun…….. with the intent of hurting someone….You WOULD NOT buy one from the local gun shop for that purpose.

That dude probably has 2 or more felony convictions. As stated... illegal carry.

But the criminals carry, because they are criminals. Law means nothing to them.

The day I found this article, some douchebag in a Dodge Durango got upset because I merged into a 'merging' lane. I say douchebag because he wasn't even in the lane I merged into but the lane next to it! When I merged into the lane there was no vehicles in that lane, but for some reason, this idiot crossed behind me, drove out of the lane and onto the grass and dirt, then sped up just to cut in front of me  I just laughed it off.

No matter how nice he was..... Loved his neighbors..., Gave to the church, saved little puppies, etc, etc. Yada yada... He IS a road rager.

At least he is 64 and not 24. His prison time will be shorter.

If a rager... Say goodbye to your family and friends when you drive. Consider yourself dead in prison.... before you road rage. Please.

It’s this type of bullshit that gives the gun community (and guns) a bad reputation….and that’s all you see on the news - the bad shit.

Believe it or not people….. This is NOT what responsible gun ownership is about and not what responsible gun owners do. PERIOD.

I could go on…and on…..
I conceal carry--you kind of have to in Florida since everyone is packing..legal or otherwise. I know how to use my weapons and will do so if my life is in danger. Does that mean I go looking for trouble? Hell no!! I'm not trying to lose my life or take anyone's for that matter. So I avoid the conflict but will stand my ground. Our poor jeep brother could have avoided this. The moron who pulled the trigger will get the book thrown at him. They don't play in that county and there was no credible fear. He had every opportunity to turn away.

What makes you think that kid has multiple felonies?
What makes you think he doesn't?

You are on the side on the murderer. I get it.

You made the claim and was called on it. The onus is generally on the claimant to back it up.

I know why he asked you.

Victim was a fisherman and a boat captain - sad. Violence should never be an option unless its in self-defense. They both should have just walked away from this.

Here is a FB post in remembrance of the victim.

I read the story...The guy who allegedly shot the other guy, if convicted, should go to jail for a long time. There is no place for that.

But listen. If you're the guy in the JT. Don't get out of the truck and approach another car. Just don't do it. This guy would be alive if he just would've driven home. Let it lie. It's better to be alive than to get one up on a d-bag.
d-bag is right. (dung bag)

I said probably.

We all know why he asked me.

No felonies on record but definitely a degenerate. Case search reveals he filed for indigent status...yet he was driving a BMW and had money for a gun. Clearly up to felonious activities and hadn't been caught till now. Good riddance to this waste of space.
