tires covered=over factory stated fording capacity. 30 inches for sports and automatics, 31.5 inches for rubicons and mojaves. I may be skiddish, but i would never even go further in water that goes over the top of my wheels (315/70r17 give me 25.68 inches for my personal fording threshold) let alone tires.I can't tell what he's going through in his profile picture, but whatever it is, based on his being a Rubicon, he's into it at least 34-36".
Can easily get to the fill level plug and crack it open and fluid will usually spill from it if sitting cold.My question is how did you know water got into the ZF without going to the dealer?
Passenger side of the transmission toward the rear above the pan .On the ZF transmission, where?
Not to just check fluid appearance. On the ZF transmission, its difficult. You need a scan tool to verify the temperature before you pull the plug and verify the level.
