So today me and my Uncle Rick changed the water pump , thermostat house and water temp sensor and the serpentine accessory drive belt. We did take lunch at noon but it took alot longer than I expected . We started at 1030 and got it all back together about 400 with an hour for lunch 5hr. 30 min. The cleaning of the block and the belt install were super tough. Everything had to be torqued . Removing the hoses was a Beast !!! Then hose for the thermostate housing was the hardest . But the fluid fill was not to bad
Cheat Code: see a guy on You-Tube due to the fact that that the thermostat housing dies not have a bleeder screw on the Gladiator He suggested removing the water temp sensor and filling till it came out the temp sensor hole . Then replace temp sensor and fill reservoir to proper point and fill as it draws down .
I used 50/50 pre diluted 90032 compliant Zerex brand orange/ red antifreeze .
Some pics for ypur viewing pleasure
Oh P.S the bearing went out of the water pump . The Jeep had 117870 miles when the water pump gave out and started weeping . IF you think you may have a water pump going bad you better call and order early I called Everywhere ..found just one had it overnighted..because today I had to be fixed as I work Monday morning. The Pump is not readily available. I got super Lucky !!
