My 16 year old takes her test for her driver’s license next week. She was afraid to ask to drive it. I got tired of waiting and had her drive it tonight. She loved it! Now she is asking how it can haul kayaks for a trip to the lake with her friends. What have I done?

You, Sir.... Have done what every father has done since Henry Ford antiquated the horse..... Congratulations, she is a beautiful young lady.

I'm in the same exact boat. Bought a JLU in the fall. Supposed to be a family car for the 4 of us. Youngest took it over as soon as she got her license and won't relinquish it. She took the top and doors off this week. It's pollen season so she's moved my car out of the garage so she can keep the Jeep interior clean and free of pollen.
If my oldest takes it, she gets a text from her sister with a list of do's and don'ts. We have started calling her the Jeep Nazi.

UUUUUMMMMMM........ YEAH........

So this picture is an example of how your story is going to end. Trust me I know! My 16 yr old son drives the 2018 Wrangler on the right, and my 21 yr old drives the gator, front left.

And it gets worse.... Since this picture is a few months old, all four now have the mopar 2" lift on them.

Now all you need is a dealership sign. Looks like you’ve got the service bays. Post a little ad for simple repairs and 2” lifts and your boys can start making $100/hour each

That's great. When my son and daughter turned 15 I turned them loose with a 74 CJ5 on dirt roads and fire lanes. My wife says I warped them for life.

I taught my 12yr old son how to drive my 5-spd '88 YJ the other night. He's hooked now, and looks for every opportunity to get behind the wheel.

So pretty much the only thing she(11yrs old) begs me to do is go wheeling…

I bought this with the intention of handing it down to my son(7yrs old) but I don’t think he’s going to get a chance at it! Lol.

I have a 13y and 11y daughter. The older one wants a Bronco sport when she turns 16. The 11y wants my JT. So it’s tough saying this, but I have a favorite child.

I am really blessed with great kids. Her and her sister work their butts off in school and sports. She just went out and got a job for the summer too!
Sounds like it. Good job.

I showed my wife these trucks since the concepts and the brutes and she always said no they were ugly. We always had an F150 as we kind of needed a truck and a Wrangler for fun and her SUV. Our F150 was bought back by Ford via the lemon law and while we were dropping it off she drove our Wrangler to pick me up she saw our current Gladiator and said lets just check to see what combining 2 vehicles into one would cost.

6 months later its now her Gladiator and her SUV never gets driven anymore.

I am kind of waiting on the Bronco after getting to see and sit in some at a preview event recently it will make a nice combo with my, errr her Gladiator.

My daughter just sold her JEEP to buy her first house, it was the love of her life.
I know she will be asking to drive mine all summer long

Oh man, right in the feels. What a tough call to make. Thankfully I'm the only one that thinks my treasured vehicle is worth something, lol. People do make me random offers sometimes, but it's not that Jeep money, ya know?

I know the feeling, I sold my Tj when I bought my house. Figured a truck would be more responsible to have when starting a family. So I sold the Jeep to pay off my F150. Which will be sold next Tuesday since used car prices are high. Come October the wife and I are going to Tennessee for a get away and will finally be purchasing a JT from Gupton. Couldn be more pumped.
