Could be a big trip or just a solid day out.

Curious what stands out as the one that made you think, “this is why I bought it.”

We're on our second Gladiator (by choice). I see a lot of the camping pics and we've had some great camping adventures, especially in the 2020 JT, but there were a few times when I was so glad I had a truck.

The 2020 JT was my first truck and when we redid the front yard of our house, I used the JT a lot to carry wood, rocks, and material. When the forklift came over and dropped two huge lava rocks in the truck bed, I was so happy I had my own truck. ;) I thought, "this is why I bought it."

Mine is pretty much relegated to going from the house to the ranch and will never leave the state. Its a brutal proposition with 5 water crossings one way. I bought it just for the purpose. Its an easier ride and catches less tree limbs than an F250 superduty 4X4. 🤣😂🤣

We took a trip from New Hampshire to Myrtle Beach to look at houses a couple years back. We did not have Sunrider for hard top yet, so it was a dark, enclosed trip. This year we will be ready.

Last year I did 3 months and 20K miles total . My aviator was my home away from home.

Started out in South Florida (home) traveled west to Grand Canyon... then north through Utah and the many national parks. Only "scheduled" stop was a 5 day float fishing trip on the Green River with 2 my sons, one who lives and works in Salt Lake City and the other I flew in from Florida . Then traveled north through many more national forests/parks/BLM lands. Entered CAnada and made it as far north as the Yukon. I did not make the Arctic Circle as intended. Traveled back home in 8 days, 3200 miles.

Favorite National Park = Glacier National Park, Montana
Favorite National forest = Bridger-Teton National Forest, Wyoming
Favorite fishing destination = Green River,/ Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area Wyoming, but way too many to count. I fished a lot... and it was absolutely epic. Average 40+ fish a day along the Green River.
Favorite Hiking was in Alberta.

I'm not a young man (73) so not too many of these 'adventures' left in me.

DavenFla,

That is truly an epic trip. Bravo!
I'm 72 done a few 3000 mile trips solo.
Hope you might take the time and post some images of some of the Places individually. Would be great to travel to some of your favorites.

Great post

There’s been a few but one of the more memorable trips we took was the White Rim Trail…

I haven't had a bad trip yet. It even handled well with a couple of laps around the NASCAR track out here.

My wife and I took a trip that was 30 days overlanding. We had about 1300 miles in gravel and off road. Camped about 25 of those days, cooking and eating out of the truck. We went from Montana through Wyoming (flaming gorge), then edge of Colorado (Dinosaur NP), south to Moab for three days (Metal masher, Back road to arches-tower arch, and camping out behind canyonlands) then-Goblins and remote dirt road- little wild horse canyon- back exit to catheral valley, then staircase NP, burr trail, then zig zagged through dirt roads catching every dirt road south we could, slot canyons, calf creek falls, kodachrome valley, various ruins, arches, cottonwood road, etc... Eventually we went to Subline point on the north rim of Grand Cayon in AZ... Then worked to Sedona, Agua friea, Crown king... two days in Phoenix, then over to Joushua tree 3 days- lots of hiking, camping, then up through the mojave, into death valley for 4 days. Panamint valley, to June lake 2 days, hiking in yosimite, mono lake, Bodie, then into Nevada, then lake Tahoe, over to cater lake in Oregon, costline- redwoods, florance sand dunes... 4 nights camping in oregon. Then back up through idaho- craters of the moon, Yellowstone national park, and then home. Best trip... 2022.
