Has anyone here ever used the ACCUAIR lift system? And do you like it? How low does it drop? Gladiator or Wrangler, any feedback is good.

My in-laws (72 & 78) recently and permanently moved in with my wife and I and getting in an out of her 2023 Wrangler 4xe High Altitude is possible, though a bit of a challenge for them even with the factory side step. I worry about them slipping off the side step and falling. I also love that Wrangler and it's been great to us. I'd hate to replace it unless I really have to... Then I found a couple of youtube videos about this system (youtuber [Banned Site]).

I'll call the manufacturer about the drop height but wanted to see if anyone here has used the system yet.

I have the system on my Gladiator for almost a year. Awesome ability to select heights and level the jeep with payloads and for camp.
I can go from bump stocks to over 6" lift. (46+ inches lift at full height)
Allows me still park in the garage!
Add Rock Sliders and set height to bump stocks and it would be a super easy step into.

And that is why my wife's 2023 4xe Rubicon got RSE power steps on it within 2 months of buying it. Also have them on my JT and the JT before that.
Piece of cake, even for my wife with chronic knee issues among other handicaps.

Thanks for the tip! More affordable than the ACCUAIR too!

I had the same issue with my 90 yo dad and my GC Trailhawk. Even at the “parked” height, he had difficulty. I made a simple wooden step that I carried around. Problem solved, cheap. I’ll be interested to see what solutions other people have come up with.

You can buy such steps............. but then you have to carry them around! You have to get out, position the step, use it, then pick it up and pack it in the vehicle again.
Sorry, I hate that thought.
I was told over and over (even some here) "just carry a step in the Jeep".
OK, who is going to be last in and first out and make really sure it's sitting squarely and the person steps on the center so it can't tilt? Then - you pick it up and put it in the vehicle.
I don't feel like bending down to deal with putting a step down, then picking it up and putting it inside the Jeep (my Jeep bed is covered, and in a JL, where would you put it?)

The solution is steps on the vehicle.

Power steps do multiple things - they work for all 4 doors, no need for the "last person in" to pick them up and toss them in the vehicle. Open door, they are there, close door, they are gone.
Anyone of any height or age or physical health (other than the obvious wheel-chair bound and so on) can get into any position, any door.
AND - they are LIT, so help in the dark. Pull into a driveway or place with poor lighting or at night, and the step comes down and is lit up.
Also handy for cleaning the roof, the windshield and other stuff - I can stand on them while working on it or cleaning it, even positioning the freedom panels more easily.

I've had it on my JTR since January. Dropping down to the bump stops makes it extremely easy getting in and out, but personally I would go for the power steps if that was my main need.

I’m going to go for the RSE steps for my wife’s Wrangler HA. I sold a used Corolla that would pay for those. 😃

THEN…… if……I can afford it one day, I’ll put the ACCUAIR on my Gladiator with a camper to get over those “all to close” size rocks that my friends aim for, with their permanently lifted vehicles.

I would recommend the Amp Research steps over these for the OP’s situation. The step is much wider and provides a better platform to get up and down. It’s not as good for rock, protection but I doubt that would be an issue… and it’s less expensive!

I looked into them - not as good reviews, and don't like how they work at all.
So I chose the better steps for me.

If you have them - measure - I'd love to see how "much" wider they are - they don't loo much wider, so I'm curious how it would be better.
You use them as a step so don't really need width, IMO

We've had kids and elderly in our vehicles - happy with my choice and the incredibly impressive support from RSE.
They also protect the sides just like running boards - and you can stand on the top section as well.

Sorry, looked, compared, wasn't at all impressed.
I even have severe balance issues - and these work great, so I'm more than happy with them.

I’ve had them on several of my full sized trucks and I keep the truck in another state (don’t ask..). Best as I recall the flat portion of the step is 4-5” wide, way more than the other product. In over 15 years of having them in multiple vehicles I’ve never had an issue with them. We don’t get a lot of salt treatment like you might so that may play a part.

What I really like about them is that they tuck away nicely…

This is the thread I was looking for from a search. Otherwise I would have made one myself. Sad that there isn't more feedback about the Accuair system. I got a smoking deal at the Jeep Invasion on the Accuair system. Talked them down even more than their show price. By the time I bought mine they had already sold 15. I was hoping to find some tips and tricks on installing the system. I have my gears on order. Unfortunately Spicer 5.38 gears are on backorder. I'm sure they will be in by the time I get around to putting the lift on. I am going to order some 40" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss. M/T later this week before the rebate runs out.

Awhile back I looked into this. Didn’t end up going for it, but the [Banned Site] forum had the most active threads on Jeep installs that I could find. One thing I learned there - there’s a position sensor on each corner, with small gauge loose wiring that can get snagged and broken. The system apparently goes into a shutdown/error mode if that happens? I would protect the hell out of those wires, say in spiral wrap and a ton of zip ties wherever it could be exposed

EDIT: oh FFS some feebledick mod here won’t let me use the word “way a life” get over yourselves
