Great ide, would love to hear if there is noticeable wind noise or not.
How did you make those?
I haven't noticed additional wind noise, but I also have a rack system for surf rods and paddle boards. I was thinking of drilling a small weep hole for rain, but was afraid of picking up a whistle. I may try... easy remake.

As far as making them.... well. I had a old metamucil plastic jar in the garage it seemed the same curve size as my lights. I made a paper template. Then cut them out of the jar. (See picture of test fit prior to sanding/painting). Sanded and then painted with flat black plastic paint. They are held on with super thick black zip ties I had laying around. Honestly I didn't want to put a whole lot into them if they didn't work. Since they worked, I will make them either out of a thicker plastic (use a heat gun to shape) or roll some sheet metal. I also looked at some black aluminum hose claps to hold the final ones on that will look much better than zip ties.

Thicker type black plastic - https://tinyurl.com/463sefyr

Black Hose claps something like this in the future, but I haven't checked the size yet. Just a quick google. They will just look nicer than zip ties https://tinyurl.com/3yxcf6xz

Mounted a pair of Ace Engineering and Fabrication rock sliders this morning. Happy was I that they did not interfere with my RockBlokz mud flaps. I did not fancy having to cut and fit the mud flaps. They seem pretty stout but likely come nowhere near weld on sliders. Time will tell if they hold up to bashing.

I thought about doing the same thing when installing my air - but opted to just not at the time. Now I think when things get switched up next spring I will go back to this idea. It's so much cleaner.

For me it was a must. I am not building a overland set up so might as well use the space. The hose reel I got is 1/4in line 26ft, I was looking at APEX new mini reel but could not justify $200. The reel I got is only 11in diameter still big but only $50.

I like that price. Tried to zoom in on my phone but can't make out the make or model, mind sharing? Or a link? Thanks.

Picked up an Apex 12K winch with synthetic line at Harbor Freight with the 25% off coupon yesterday, Installed it today with a 500A solenoid and a Factor 55 Flatling that I won in a raffle last year. Lucky me, when I opened the box, it was the red one.

I have the ace sliders on my 14JKU. They take a beating and keep on going. I can't imagine weld ons being much tougher.

Thanks. I appreciate your real world experience and look forward to testing these sliders.

Got Re-geared from 3:73 to 4:88 with my manual transmission as I upgraded my tire size to 35’s. Revolution gears. Had to re-set the PCM by disconnecting the battery + Re-learn top gear N/V ratio. Really positive in drivability, ease of engaging first gear, the use of 6th gear and looking forward to rock crawling at the Cumberlands Jamboree.
