If you ever drop One use a cheese slicer to take off the top layer. As long as it gets rid of the dirt you’re good.
I just pitch it; clay is cheap, getting rid of self-induced swirls will cause you to go gray and lose hair.

Oh wait, I got both going on....damn.

They always say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is a pic of my hood after clay and wax. Of course it always looks better with the naked eye, but this'll give you an idea; so shiny you can clearly see my neighbors house reflected. It's worth the effort. I'll put on another coat later today or tomorrow; I always put on 2 coats.

Jealous. Mine has hail dents, a small spot of corrosion, and a bird poop stain.

Dawn dish soap for the bird poop.
Oh its way past that.

I washed the truck, clay barred it, then buffed that spot with an orbital and compound.

It's not going away complete 😄 I guess stain is sort of wrong - but its permanently damaged where the bird shit was.

Im gonna go later this year and hope the hood gets replaced anyway for the corrosion on the side.

If for some reason that's doesn't go to plan - I'll buy a full hood kit to paint for it. Either a Mojave or Rubicon setup from All Mopar Parts.

Super-duper minor, but relevant to me. I hate shiny shit. I polished enough shit in the Army to last a few lifetimes. So today I splurged for a set of black lugging nuts when I had the tires rotated at Discount. Don’t come at me for not doing my own rotation, I’m on vacation. I would have ordered a set when I slapped on the AEVs, but they were on backorder at the time.

Mine has corrosion, also. When I got my last oil change last week, it got inspected and waiting on the "bring it in" call from Stellantis. I'm looking forward to it and not looking forward to it. I HIGHLY doubt the finish will look factory when they are done.

If you zoom in under the D in MUDPIE and peer through the mesh reflection of my JBL speaker on my fender, you can see the corrosion on the bottom, and it's growing rather fast. If you're that bored.....

I also have small spots of corrosion on 3 of my 4 doors, those are to be addressed also. Time will tell how jacked up it'll be....

Finally found time to put some decals on. I don't like the gap on the side vent decals but the cutout seemed a little too big to remove the gap. I might try to tuck them in more.

This is about my inner fender screw up.

Talked to American Adventure Labs on Monday. They wanted to see my conformation e-mail. So I e-mailed it to them. They replied today and said they are sorry and will ship me the correct inner fenders. :like:

While sitting on my front porch sipping a Fanta, waiting on the roofer for my roof inspection (all good, in case anyone was wondering), I looked over at my Gladiator and smiled. Nice and clean. Except......

I grabbed my applicator pad, Griot's vinyl and rubber protectant....and cleaned my wheel wells. Yes I did. I may have a problem. But it does look nice, that's the scary part (or the justification ??).

I don't mind shiny, but I'm not into chrome. The only thing chrome on my Jeep is the door lock cylinders, the tailgate cylinder.....and my lug nuts. I'm seriously considering going the way you did and there is a company that make matte black decals to cover the lock cylinders. Why did Jeep chrome the locks and lug nuts ??

I spray mine with Pam so that the mud doesn't stick.

I plan on going with magnetic covers for the door locks. Those seem to be a way better option than a decal.
