Got the bumper bezel and tow hooks in and the bed sliders loosely fitted. The tow hooks can only go in 1 way unless you grind off a fitment tab. Wasn’t aware of that so not exactly the way I wanted but they’re on there. Installing that bezel is a blitz!!! And not in a good sense of the word. Like pulling apart a Russian doll that’s been bolted together with plastic bolts and thermogenic adhesive. Right when you think you’ve got it there another damned later to dig through. And that layer has another round of tabs and bolts holding it together. I cursed every vehicle design engineer that’s ever lived at least a couple million times. Anyway it’s hot and I’m wrung out like a dead lizard on sun baked concrete so im calling it until tomorrow morning. Heres where I stand.

Did the OEM tow hook bezel swap on my 2022 Willys and swore I would never do that again.

You can still do the strap on types. They work pretty well. That’s what I use in mine. They ain’t fancy but they’re functional.
My seat covers have molle and zipper pockets.

AMEN!!!!

Ah ok. I misunderstood. I thought you needed some Molle goodness behind the seat.
I just loved that product for you. And I love it in general.

FINALLY got around to swapping the coolant reservoir. I need to tow the trailer 7 hours round trip between tomorrow and Monday, so that’s a good test of whether I get coolant smell when the jeep is under significant load. I’m really impressed with this mishimoto part. I haven’t started it, but it hooks right up to oem connections. I’m not worried at all.

Went back out to start chopping to clear for the bed sliders. Did a few cursory cuts but the dremel died. I do believe that was The Almighty telling me to call it a day so I did. And just to show that I halfway know what I’m doing….

Retired. Finally !!
Cleaned/washed K&N air filter, added some water to the coolant reservoir, ready to go to Drummond Island, MI August 4

Only dropped 1 air filter screw (stupid design), thankfully it dropped all the way down to the ground
When I took ownership of mine, the southeast corner screw was MIA. I ordered new. A week later I went to install my new K&N filter and yep, the southeast corner screw took a powder. Found it though...

Would it have been too hard or too expensive for Jeep to have clips to hold down the cover ???

That front right screw is a bitch. Can't see it and then when you get it moving can't feel it can't touch it, then you hear plinko. Damn it. I did learn last time, to start the screw before putting cover on, because my fat hand can't get in there otherwise

In prep for rocker the armor install, had to remove 6 badges and clean up old adhesive from the old rock sliders steps. Then loaded a few things and hooked up the trailer and drove to grand junction. Picking up rock sliders tomorrow. They’re so long, the trailer was the best method. But ridiculous otherwise.

Installed one more thing, but can’t share yet, as I was testing them for someone. Nothing earth shattering, and will be able to share soon.

I got completely lucky with parking. The only spot left to for the trailer, and my room is directly above.
