Retired. Finally !!
Pulled the “Jee” remaining of the driver fender emblem. I had to remove the p to install the rocker armor on Monday. Then removed the adhesive from 25 badges. 6 from driver, and 19 from passenger, which is currently naked after the body work. Trying to figure out the new arrangement.

I was stuck in a traffic jam on vail pass on Monday, so had opened the windows and sunrider. A kid in a car next to me asked “what kind of car is that?” I answered, it’s a jeep. His response was, “It doesn’t look like a jeep”. I just laughed and said it’s also a truck.

That’s awesome. Nice find. Every time I see a good soft top deal on here, they seem to be on the east coast.

Totally. Next time, I'm getting a mini-hook because... ARRR!!!

I’d have put a winch on one of them.
F55 Ultrahook. :P

A guy I knew up here at our cabin buzzed off three of his fingers on his table saw. Air ambulance flight down to Phoenix and they were able to reattach two of them. His pinky couldn't be saved.

Another friend down in Phoenix, her sister was using a bandsaw and sliced a finger clean off. Surgeon able to reattach.
From what I hear/read, table saws are the most gruesome but band saws sever the most digits. I can see why. I have a small table top that was my grandfathers. I am VERY careful with it.

My Willys JL was easy peezy. My Rubicon X not so easy, sooo extension cables for me also.
Ouch!!! I hate that some dealerships give you crap about having it plugged in. I've had mine plugged for 4 years no issues with my dealership when I was under warranty.
I bought it used in March and this is the first time in this dealer. Since I had them checking for UConnect updates and software updates I erred on the side of caution. I didn't know how they'd react. And frankly, for $30 and not risking busting another pin on the panel under the steering column its worth it.

Fumigated mine today. I do one of those scenty things in there every couple of months as a maintenance type event. It’s 30 minutes to ensure that it keeps smelling decent inside. Yes I do vacuum and wipe everything down more often but the scent bomb things just ensure it all stays nice and fresh. It eliminates odors I may not see coming and keeps the AC vent tubes freshened up.

Edit: Also fixed my OVS cap door lock on the driver’s side that hasn’t been able to be unlocked since I bought the Jeep. Kroiled it and took the bolts off. Gave it a couple good whacks and jiggled it a bit. Put the key in and it unlocked. Put it all back together and tested it a few times and it still works. Never underestimate the effect of a good hard whack. 😂

I just used the end of a 1/2” extension. It was handy and I really didn’t want to dig out an actual hammer. It was getting close to “go inside and hide” time because it’s getting too hot to be out wrenching past about 11am here now. 60* in the morning and 99* by noon. Gotta love it.
