Removed seats in back and started building a deck for gear. Then figured I stop for night, running a saw a 0130 in morning not a friendly thing  to do. Got to be ready for a extended camping trip. Oh I guess I have been doing that for last 9 years. so I guess I need to start building my house now.

I have found the Gladiator to be a great Swiss Army knife type of vehicle to use during our whole house remodel. I have a Ram dually for heavy hauling, transporting long lumber or significant towing, The past month, the Gladiator was perfect for running around for tools, electrical boxes and switches, light fixtures, plumbing supplies, groceries, horse feed etc. The Gladiator is obviously a lot more nimble than the Ram and much easier to park or take through a drive through.

While it can certainly be pressed into service for towing, I would never buy a Gladiator as a primary tow vehicle. Yesterday afternoon I used it to get 60 hay bales using a utility trailer. It towed okay and did the job but I wouldn’t want to use it (or any other small truck) on a regular basis for towing. The Gladiator was narrower than the utility trailer which requires care crossing bridges to ensure the trailer fender didn’t get too close to the bridge. Same for construction zones. The Ram’s mirrors work like cat whiskers. If the truck can go through, so can the trailer, no worries. Also, the V6 really works during inclines under load. Feels a little like whipping a good pack mule. Prefer not to. Lastly the trailer does push the truck over broken pavement or when the road undulates. It wasn’t scary but it was noticeable. Wouldn’t use the Gladiator to regularly tow a 5,000 pound camper in Colorado. Not me.

Trips to Costco, perfect. Trips to the lumber yard, nope.

Love the Gladiator. It is a joyful ride. My granddaughter loves it. Will probably keep it as long or longer than anything else we have owned. So glad we bought it. Also, so glad we have other options to chose from depending on the job.

Thanks, hoping to change some of the stock look soon. This thing is a blast to drive around stripped down as much as possible.

That is a really good idea, I was searching around the house looking for sunglasses for the kids and didn't turn up much of anything. Goggles will work perfect next time! Eye protection is a must.
Learned today a bug hitting you in the face at 55mph isn't too comfortable, and they kind of explode on impact, lol.
If no one is sitting in the seats I will fold them down so the bugs don't splatter all over the headrest.

I hope you are removing the entire windscreen and not relying on the straps at 55MPH.

Here's a pic of my buddy's JTR pulling his capsized boat. We had to put my boat in the water (went ahead and launched it for the summer), and recovered his boat, and dragged it to the boat launch, and then put it on the trailer. Then we talked the local marina into helping us upright the boat on the trailer, because they have a huge forklift for the boat storage. So, thanks folks at the marina! It was a HUGE help! :like:

Used the three position tailgate for the first time. Hardcore.

3-position tailgate? How do you do that? Salesman was an idiot, so I have no idea about any of these cool features and functions of the Gladiators.

Hardcore?? Nope. Most doors these days are hollow core . . . . . . sorry
I was being completely sarcastic. Not sure how you missed that.

That door probably weighs like 30 lbs. I carried it up three flights of stairs by myself and it wasn’t even heavy. It’s just a shitty $45, builders grade interior door on a rental property.

My attempt at humor didn't work. The Jeep's abilities are indeed hardCORE. The door itself is hollow CORE. Prolly only home improvement folks would appreciate it, if anyone. A bad joke, poorly implemented. The headslap emoji was directed at myself for a bad joke in the first place.

Ok, that actually is kind of funny when you break it down.

Mine actually came with that feature broken from the factory. I needed to pull out and readjust the catch on the one side, it was to far back.

Thats a good idea to keep the backseats clean.

I didn't go long at that speed, but I will tell you with the mopar straps it was solid. not a single bit of wiggle at all in the thing. How hard is it to remove the entire windshield? Is it just the two hinges?
