Took my Overland out for a bit of a shake down today. Impressively capable with just some bigger AT tires. Unfortunately I didnt get any pics of the difficult parts because my wife was freaking out a bit

The crossbars are from KBVoodoo. Can’t say enough about those. Then the actual bike racks themselves are from CyclingDeal. Racks work well. They are inexpensive and work well for my application. I’ve modified them using some super quick fists for attaching to the rims since this pic was taken. I also used different hardware to attach them thru the crossbars instead of the included wrap around mounts.

its AWESOME! its a 2018 Sure Trac 5x8 Galvanized trailer. it has a 3500lb axle, weighs 730 lbs, led lights, spring assisted tailgate, the can come off with 2 pins or fold flat. 15" wheels/tires, steps fore and aft of the fenders, treated deck boards, setback jack that wont hit tailgate, AND can wind down to like 4" off ground so I can connect to my john deere without a seperate jack.

Trouble is Sure Trac discontinued them. I was told by manufacturer (not dealer) that they were designed for salty northern states, but didn't sell well because they're more expensive.

you can still find a few laying around. Many of these features are on the normal powder coated steel ones they make, though they're a bit heavier (about 150lbs if i recall correctly).

Went up Burns Canyon Trail that starts from Pioneertown CA up to Big Bear Lake. Great contrasts in ecosystems starting in a forest of Joshua Trees in the valley floor then finishing up among the pines in Big Bear.

Got out this past weekend and did some camping, mountain biking, and light off roading near Buena Vista, CO. So nice to get out into the mountains and away from all the ridiculous insanity going on in the cities and on social media.

Have another 2 week trip starting next week and will be going around Colorado exploring different areas. Can't wait!
