What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

I debated putting it here or in the "what did you haul" thread, but it's more than just what I loaded in the truck. It's the why.
This morning, for the last time ever, I loaded up all my firefighting gear and drove out of the station. Ran my last call at 0300. I have 3 weeks of training the next generation, then turn it all in forever. It's a very bittersweet time. 22 years on this department, 8 more on various others. Time to let the youngun's do the job.

I work closely with first responders. Thank you for your years of service, putting your life in jeopardy day-in and day-out to protect the lives of complete strangers. Enjoy your retirement. You've more than earned it.

Road trip to our property in East Texas. About 450 miles round trip. First road trip and all is good

found that damn knocking noise, for all of those curious, the EVO sway bar endlinks make a ridiculous amount of noise on my truck, no clue why, they’re just noisy AF... was worried about it badly. Unhooked them and the noise went away, then promptly stuck it in another ditch to check movement... new job has taken away from me being able to go play in the truck... I spend most of my windshield time in the driver seat of a Kia now?

Snow is mostly gone in Maine so I explored a few backroads in search of unposted logging roads…

Found a nice tight woods road that made me appreciate the plastic fenders and roof. Didn’t do any damage, but too early in the season without risking rutting.

Also found an open rock quarry!! Highly recommend searching these out ?

Took mine camping with my son for spring break. Having a great time.

Went through Richloam WMA, not getting stuck and giving my suspension a workout on the hardpack roads, and 4L a workout in the mush.
Both performed admirably, also met some scaly friends along the way and taught my Rubicon a new trick.

Drove down to Washington Oak (Palm Coast, FL) this weekend and the Glad was half dressed. When I drive her this way it reminds me of the 1930’s Duesenbergs. Is it just me?
