Dude, these things can haul...max tow or not. But, fire wood is good. Heats you several times...splitting, moving one place to another, burningA load of firewood - max tow barely felt it !
A couple of years ago, I had 16 boxes at 80 lbs apiece of 3/4" Red Oak hardwood flooring in the bed of my Overland (about 800 sq.ft. and 1,280 lbs.). Didn't really know it was there. A year and a half later, repeated (two trips) with 16 boxes of the same in the bed plus a 5' x 10' trailer with another 16 boxes on it (weight limit of trailer) for finishing my home (total for this trip was 1,600 sq.ft.).

My wife wanted to save about 200-250 bucks on shipping and beat a big price increase on batting for her quilting. She asked - can we get 7 rolls in the truck? Heck yes. I could have gotten all 7 in the back but the plastic on one was torn so I tossed it into the back seat.
So we went to Overland Park, KS to pick up her batting. We don't have room to store it all at home so we stopped at her friend's house as she's got a room that's empty and can store it for us. I told her I wanted a pic before we unloaded.
Not really heavy - but bulky for sure.
4 fit down into the box (a couple I convinced to go in between the wheel wells), then two on top. and the one in the back seat.
Straps criss-crossed down to the corner loops in the truck bed and I had an extra I tossed in between the rails I installed just because I had plenty of straps.

First time actually using the gladiator as a truck.. Not a heavy load at all, just moving a rack and some equipment for work.
It also happened to not be raining and hit almost 65 degrees so I flipped the top back. My hardtop is finally showing up next week, but having had the softop for a couple of months I'm pretty sure I am not going to sell it. Definitely enjoying it.
