Hey everyone, being as we are getting ever closer to the reveal and full details (sooner or later) I wanted to see what everyone is looking to get from the factory on their JT's. I plan to factory order mine in the configuration my wife and I want as we plan to keep the JT indefinitely. With that said, my factory options might look something like this:

JT Rubicon
- 3.6/Auto trans
- Body colored flares/hard top
- Cold weather group
- LED lighting group
- Technology group
- Towing package and HD electrical group (if similar to JL options)
- Steel bumper group (possibly depending on what AEV releases between now and then)
- Spray in bedliner (unsure of factory quality?)
- Power inverter (if not standard on Rubicon)
- Lockable storage bin
- Off-road camera (if not standard on Rubicon)

Looking at the leaked info we have here and here we can get a pretty good idea of what we all might want. A lot of what I want falls into the if I can afford it category and much like most of us here I will likely end up having to pick and choose this over that to make it fit my budget. I do know that I will be factory ordering my JT and configuring it as best I can afford with the plan to keep it forever. So what is everyone else looking to factory order?

From the factory:
- Rubicon trim level with soft top only
- floor mats
- Diesel engine with automatic transmission OR 3.6 gasoline engine with manual transmission (price and delivery date driving my choice)
- bed liner (if avail)

And that's it from the factory.

But ultimately it will have quite a few non-factory parts:
- front bumper plus winch (AEV?)
- rear bumper with tire, jack, and fuel carrier (TBD mfg)
- foldable bed cover
- skid plates
- roof top tent
- minimal lift to run slightly larger tires
- 35" or 37" tires (2 on-board spares...for desert exploration)

From the Factory:
- Rubicon Trim with Soft Top (possibly dual top)
- Diesel Engine (depending on availability and output numbers)
- LED Lighting
- Cold Weather Group
- Trailer Tow/ HD Electrical
- Electronic Infotainment System
- Body Color Fender Flares
- Leather Seats
- All Weather Floor Matts

Aftermarket
- 2-3" Suspension Lift (UCA, F/R ADJ Track Bars, possibly LCA,)
- 37" Tires
- TBD New Front and Rear Bumper (Rear with Tire)
- Safari Type Roof Rack
- Additional Lighting
- Skid Plate
- Line-X Bed Liner
- Foldable Bed Cover
- Remove Bench Seat replace with same bucket seats as front.

Eventually would like Half Doors and soft windows as well. The truck will be used on the Beach in the mountains and as a daily driver for a while.

Ok, I’ll play.

Rubicon
3.6 w/ BSG (hoping BSG it works as advertised since I don’t think not having it will be an option)
6 Speed Manual Tranny
4.10 Axle Gears
LED Lighting Group
Cold Weather Group
Trailer Tow and HD Electrical Group
Infotainment System Group
Dual Top (black, I hate the body color hard top. I might be the only one but that's just me)
Body Color Fenders (I think, I like the look but the black plastic might be better for trails plus it saves some money)
Bed liner (maybe aftermarket??)

Aftermarket
Steel Bumpers
Winch
Full Belly Pan
Upgraded Sliders/Rock Rails
Soft doors
Not sure about lift or tires, probably run stock for a bit
Dakine tailgate guard for my Mt. Bike to hang over.

The big questions is color. I have no idea. Black is awesome but is always dirty. I like stingray, granite, and billet but so does everyone else and their mother. Every once in a while I think about Ocean Blue as well so????

Mine is pretty simiar to @Wraith's build

Factory Options:

- Rubicon Trim
- 3.0L Diesel w/ Auto Trans
- Painted Hard Top
- Cold weather group
- LED lighting group
- Technology group
- Towing package and HD electrical group
- Steel bumper group (or AEV depends on what the AEV options look like)
- Spray in bedliner
- Power inverter
- Factory Leveling Kit (or AEV if not)

Aftermarket:

- AEV or Method 17" Beadlock wheels
- 37" BFG KO2 Tires
- Synthetic Warn Winch
- Roof top tent bed rack with removable cross bars (so you can put tall items in the bed when the tent is off), and side mounting options similar to Leitner Designs. My guess is this will have to be custom.
- Roof Top Tent
- Hard top rolling/locking/water tight tonneau cover (keep the items in the bed secure and dry)
- Electric AMP side steps or possibly rock sliders with built in steps.
- Rigid Industries D2 light pods on the A-pillars (I have these on my JKU and they have come in so handy while camping and early morning/late evening driving adventures)
- On board air
- Dual batteries
- ARB fridge

Alright I'll play

  • Diesel 3.0
  • Automatic transmission
  • Rubicon equivalent trim
  • LED lighting group
  • Trailer tow and HD electronic group
  • Electronic infotainment system group
  • Basic freedom 3 piece hard top
  • Remote start
  • Bedliner and tonneau cover if available
Aftermarket adds to include
  • Tubular flat fenders keeping lighting
  • Bumpers (I like aev jk bumper with water storage)
  • RSE rock sliders with motorized step
  • 35" tires, lift to match if needed
  • GDE tune for the 3.0 if/when available
  • Bypass filter to extend engine/oil life
That's what I got for the moment. Out of curiosity I priced this as a JL using the 2.0 option to take a little bit of the cost of the diesel. Just north of 50K. I really hope the JT isn't priced with too much of a premium. That's already a dangerous price imho.

Soft Top + Half Doors with soft windows... That's probably higher on my list than most other people, but it's a HUGE reason why I'm looking at this vs a Tacoma

good call @Gambrinus. I forgot when I made my list but I went back and added soft doors. I had them on my YJ and loved them. I am talking full door not just half doors.

A frame that has proper welds... apparently that must have been an upgrade that many people didn't want to pay for
