I bet if/when the Ranger Raptor ever makes itself available here, or if the new Bronco comes with a big motor, you will see something of this sort. The main thing they should have offered from the factory was a 5.7 Hemi option for the Max Tow and Rubicon models...At minimum. Then offered a 6.4 Hemi option for a special model Rubicon.
The next thing they should have offered was a roll-down back window like a Ford Bronco, where the whole rear glass rolls down into the back wall of the cab, when you remove the top. Or, you can open up all 4 windows, pull the freedom panels off, and then drop the whole rear glass down, and have a really nice protected open-air cruise.
Also, the Rubicons should have been offered from the factory with 315/70r17 (or 35x12.50r17) Mud-Terrains as an option.
You keep it rolled down with a soft top that has a plastic window... Just like soft tops on Broncos and K5 Blazers, and JK's and JL's...The issue with a roll down window would be how do you integrate it with a soft top. If the gladiator was a hard top or fixed top only vehicle it would be easy, every one would get one. With the soft aspect, what do you do, make two different cabs? What about dual top buyers.
I like the idea, my heart is with you on that tiny window. My old J20 had a twin sliding unit that allowed you to open up nearly half the window and with wind wings it made not having AC bearable.
Sadly, it will take something like that for them to quit being pussies about it. Which surprises me they didn't offer it from the beginning, considering Dodge and SRT sure have no problem building ridiculously impracticable cars that still manage to pass EPA emissions tests... But all of a sudden the "utilitarian" and "Jeepiness" nature of the JT means it HAS to have a tree-hugger approved V6? Give me a damn break...I bet if/when the Ranger Raptor ever makes itself available here, or if the new Bronco comes with a big motor, you will see something of this sort.
But think of all other jeep owners and their ability to walk and breathe at the same time as well as how jeep would offer a weather tight enough way to mate the top to the glass. The Bronco and Blazer/Jimmy weren't offered with the roll up glass and a soft top, only hard as I recall. The Ramcharger/Trailduster and Scout/Travelall I think only had soft rear windows for a long while. You keep it rolled down with a soft top... Just like soft tops on Broncos and K5 Blazers...
With the hard top, you would just have a roll up weatherproof sealed channel (like the doors), just open on the bottom. And with the soft top, you wouldn’t use the glass rear window, it would have a plastic rear, like the Wrangler soft tops. So the soft top base would still connect to the top of the cab like it currently does. The only thing different would be that the roll-down rear glass would stay in the back of the cab when you removed the hard top.But think of all other jeep owners and their ability to walk and breathe at the same time as well as how jeep would offer a weather tight enough way to mate the top to the glass. I'm not saying it's impossible, just not very workable if you ya'dig. To me a luxury gladiator would have the roll back top and a hide-away back glass, puddle lights and a nice light up rocker telling the valet you drive the Tuxedo Park model.
Can confirm, they do have one that works with Remote Start. Used it earlier today. All the ones for the JT on their website showed no option for Remote Start models...
Yeah I was surprised the aux switches were standard....Also was surprised the seats didnt cool either. I also thought it should AT LEAST come with the trailer tow package, if not with the max tow...I mean c'mon now. Paying for every little thing is crazy.I agree with all of Bama’s ideas. Also:
1. The Aux switches should be standard
2. In addition to heated seats, cooling seats should be offered
3. The tonneau cover should lock
The damn key fob has another annoying habit of popping open and stabbing my leg.

The ESS is an EPA issue. The V8 is not offered as a factory option because it wouldn't pass the crash test.Sadly, it will take something like that for them to quit being pussies about it. Adding a silicone cover to the FOB cured the key popping open issue for me.I agree with all of Bama’s ideas. Also:

It's a nice convenience feature, but I like having a locking gas cap. This is another small complaint, but how about a “capless” gas tank like what’s on my Grand Cherokee and RAM truck.
