If there is already a dedicated thread please link it and I will delete this thread.

Trying to find the best set up. If you have a system you like please post a description (pros cons etc.) and a link to the product or name of product. Seems like there are endless options! So far I really like the look of the RAM mounts and 67 designs.

Fire away!

P.S. Pics are ALWAYS appreciated!

The flag inserts are cheap and curled up so I have not put them in yet. Eventually I will get around to heating them to get them flat and install them. It's not expensive but it looks factory and it's functional. I put a little heat on the riser for the phone mount with my heat gun so that I could bend it away from the windshield a bit. That way when I mount my phone horizontally for taking video of trails the angle is right for filming.

Yeah these are good. There is a REALLY nice similar one 67 designs makes but they are pretty pricey for what I need. Additionally I am thinking something more to the right of the console rather than in middle would be nice for me. I have a manual transmission and a power cord dangling in the center gets bothersome shifting gears!

But thanks for sending! This thread isn't just for me! haha.

This is probably a "lazy answer", but since I have an iphone and the Jeep has Apple Carplay, I just use one of the cup holders or put it in the console if both cup holders are being used. Saved me one more thing to buy. Since carplay covers taking calls, messages, maps and my music library on the dash touchscreen I don't really need the phone display for anything else while driving.

Haha yes. I just hate listening to siri read my messages. So id prefer to easily be able to read them at traffic lights. Or at least when on the read be able to see at least who the message is at a glance. IDEALLY it would be a system that gave me the ability to swap out a phone or ipad. ipad for offroading or alternatively if my gf is in the passenger seat on a long ride she can enjoy some netflix or whatever!

Same here. I’ve just been placing next to the cup holders, between the emergency brake and cup holders. Fits nicely.

I tried the dash mounted version as posted above, but I didn’t like the way it was in my field of view.

I ended up going with the spring mounted one that goes on the left side of the grab bar. One of the best mods I have done In my honest opinion!

I have Pro Clip mounts in all my vehicles. Yes, costs little more. But IMAO, it’s the best mount on the market.

Does this require screwing in to the dash? Or does it use existing screw holes?
It used adhesive tape, and screws to existing holes. There’s an option to screw another hole in the the dash, but not necessary.

I'm using a suction cup POWR phone mount/charger. It's low on the windshield, and uses the 12V outlet next to the window switches. Phone is always within reach and always stays charged.
