Looking for some forum wisdom... disclaimer: This is a first world problem for sure....

My wife is wanting something different than her 392. This creates a bit of a dilemma for me. Do I sell my Gladiator and keep the 392, or let her sell/trade the 392??

For context the Gladiator is a Black 22 Rubicon diesel with 4" Rusty's springs, Fox 2.0 shocks and stabilizer, Metalcloak arms and drop brackets, Clayton front and rear trackbars, carrier bearing spacer, extended rear brake lines, and of course end links, Rock Hard sliders, Metalcloak front driveshaft, LOD Destroyer rear bumper, LOD Signature Series stubby front bumper w/Badland 12k winch, 37" Geolander X/AT on Teraflex Nomad wheels. Has 37" Ko2 spare, Roll-N-Lock bed cover w/T-rails, and low profile Billie Bars. Not installed, Teraflex rear extended travel kit-upper control arm brackets, new sway bar and some smaller items that came in the kit.

392 is a black 22 sky one-touch with 2.5" Clayton springs and Metalcloak arms and track bars, factory shocks with extensions, 37" BFG ko2 tires on factory wheels.

The Gladiator is super nice and would hate to part with, but the potential and pure awesomeness of the 392 is ultra tempting. I do hit trails a few times a year. Typically a Colorado trip (or 2), and some of the trails around Tulsa, SMORR, and Hot Springs.

If I were to sell the Gladiator should I pull the parts and sell separately? Or if I leave them how do I factor them into the price? I know I'll never get back what I put in, but want to "lose" as little as possible if I decide to sell.

I love the Gladiator, but am having visions of cruising down trails in the Hemi powered Wrangler. Anyway, I know it's ultimately my call, but just looking to bounce the idea off some other Jeep folks. Thanks!

Which one makes you smile the most?

There is another option you didn't mention:

Nice! Would love to keep both, but we have a c8 as a 3rd car, and that's not going anywhere. Tough to add a 4th ride. She is wanting something more practical. We have the 3, and our 2 kids both have cars, so we are at our parking limit at the house.

So those are "The Girls". I can't let any go, so I just keep adding, lol. Truth be told, if I had to just have one...it would be the Wrangler in the middle. It's nothing special; 2016 JKUR with 2" AEV lift and 35's; however, I think it is more versatile than the Gladiator...at least for what I do. I love overlanding and I also love trail riding. The Wrangler is a better crawler, even with smaller lift and tires than the Gladiator, but it can be used to overland as well. I know the same could be said for the Gladiator, but as it is built (2.5" ICon lift on 37's) it just can't out-wheel the Wrangler.

That's an awesome fleet! Yesterday, I wanted to keep the Gladiator, but thinking about overnight and Google searching parts today, I'm leaning towards the 392. Just hate letting go of all the time, parts, energy I have in the Gladiator. Especially when I saw the KBB Gladiator pricing...

Definitely a first world problem… lol From personal experience any modifications are best to be removed before sale/trade. Usually aftermarket parts give dealers or buyers an excuse to low ball the price since they are not OEM. 392s are extremely rare in my neck of the woods, and command stupid prices where Gladis are a dime in a dozen. The wrangler will get you best sale price, but also will hold its value better than the truck if you decide to keep it. You do what makes most sense to you, best of luck.

She is wanting something more practical
A JLU is fairly practical on it's own, what if you suggested ditching the 37's, took it back to factory height (or even lower), ran street tires on it (gas mileage and quieter/smoother ride) and essentially made it into a typical V8 SUV?

I was given a rental once that was an AEV JLU on 37's and while fun for a stint I couldn't imagine DD'ing that.

if I had this parking the first one to move would be the C8 ( I assume its a corvette right?)
as @SIG551-A1 just said , the 392 could potentially be one of his kind one day so I would keep this one for sure . now what's more practical than a wrangler? you can go on road off road topless doorless slow fast with a cool factor than every other car envy. is she already an idea of what she would like?

The 392 being as expensive and rare as it is will ALWAYS be worth money, hell it will probably appreciate once they're discontinued.

JT's are plenty and will be depreciating for a while, until they're as rare as those old MJ's, then they'll appreciate a tiny amount.

It's ultimately your call, the 392 will be worth money no matter how you slice it, but do you feel comfortable using it as a Jeep and putting those small dings and scratches everyone gets eventually on the trail?

It's up to you.

Yes Corvette. She is looking for something more comfortable, with more room, with probably a few more bells and whistles. She's looked at a Yukon Denali, and Grand Wagoneer. Now, after typing that "practical" was probably not the best word to describe what she is wanting. She came from a loaded Tahoe, and wants to go back to something like that.

I totally agree. She had a loaded Tahoe before the 392, and is wanting to go back to that. Practical... not the best word for me to describe what she wants.
