I want the Black Rhino Arsenals so bad but apparently with the 3.5 in game changer lift on a sport you cant have more then a 4in back spacing without rubbing. So i may have to go with the black rhino chambers

Just bought my Hydro Blue Willys 3 days ago. I am going back and forth on the Black Rhino Armory and Arsenal wheel in Black on a 35ā€ Toyo MT. I’ve never been a fan of Jeeps stock wheels on any trim level. I noticed the Armory doesn’t have ANY slots or openings for air flow/cooling, but would offer super easy cleaning with that tough military look. The Arsenal has very minimal slots/holes and also looks awesome. My former JK had XD RockStar 2 wheels and while they looked great, they were a bitch to clean after a day of wheeling and I often scraped up or cracked the plastic fingers on rocks; enough to have a box of replacement pieces on hand since they were replaceable.. I really like how simple the Armory looks.

I’m wondering if any significant cooling of the brakes etc are of concern going with the Armory wheel.

Chime in Armory and Arsenal wheel owners - how are they in general?

I know some will call me crazy, but I’m sticking with my stock rubicon wheels for now. They’re lightweight, and I’m fine with them cosmetically. I don’t air down much lower than 20psi, so shouldn’t need bead locks. It’s one area where some money can be put towards upgrades like axle shafts and gearing.
Ok. I’m ready for the flood of reasons why I’m nuts. :)

I’ve been on the fence about ordering these for over a year and now I’ve done it!

Really like these. I am between these and the Black Rhino Axle (also in white) for when I pull the trigger this spring.

I don’t think you are crazy, our rides are great stock. They look great and are more capable then most need. Can’t upgrade everything on the vehicle and still be finically responsible.

My question to you is are you getting larger tires? If so I have heard concerns with larger sizes fitting the OEM wheels, but admittedly I haven’t researched myself.

I am upgrading to 37’s that technically ask for 8ā€ rims, but my trusted shop has mounted these on the 7.5ā€ rubi rims many times without issue. Just need to choose the appropriate psi, maybe 35 instead of 37psi.

watch the PSI close. I’m in Colorado and yesterday it was 65 degrees out. All four tires were at 37psi COLD. this morning it was 16 degrees and tires were between 29-30psi. Lots volume in these, LOL.

Yep. I always set the pressure early in the morning. That way, worst case it’s a couple lbs high at mid day. I could go the other way as well, but I like it that way. Running 39psi when it’s warm doesn’t bother me.

The tires I purchased, Mickey Thomson Baja boss A/T 37x12.5x17 are technically rated for 8ā€ rims, where these are 7.5. My trusted shop has done these many times and that 1/2 inch doesn’t matter. I’ll likely run them around 35psi instead of 37 so the tread is nice and flat.
