did you turn off anti-skid? it tends to feel like a hop when you start to skid or lose traction. I initially had that and was WTF. turned it of and no more skipping issues

Had the same wheel hop experience here. Deep fresh snow, at least 12" on a paved 40 degree hill from a dead stop. Did not have ETC or ESC disabled.

You maybe binding/crab walking. This happens during turns only?

I got mine to hop tonight by excessive throttle response in fluffy snow.

Rocksalt, do you have the wheel hop dampener?
https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/what-is-this-bilstein-diff-shock.24509/

I have a Rubicon and it has significant rear wheel hop in snow and sand. I replaced the shocks and it made no difference. I am thinking of adding the wheel hop dampener to see what effect it has, but if you have it and are still getting wheel hop maybe I will save my money.

the parts are available-68341435AC

I had exact issue and didn't think much of it, I probably didn't have traction control off. Interested in what the outcome is from this...
