When does aesthetics trump function?

If I can post a silly which looks better post,

Four lights or three?

or 5?

The two amber lenses are driving/fogs and the others are spots. I don't have a roof light bar, I decided I can't handle the noise. I think I prefer the 3 light look for nothing other than esthetics/symmetry. The four lights look odd. Maybe add a 5th?

Maybe change out the lights in the bumper to something amber and have the two driving lights on the bar , would look less cluttered.in their. I like that bumper other then it looks like the bull bar blocks the headlights a bit….Jack

I’d say 3 but either run them all covered or make them all the same color.

I'd say three, the pic on the right. Either run all three in amber, or put KC covers on all three to keep it symmetrical. With that option you now have a spare KC light for when one breaks from flying debris.

I'd run the three or maybe run one flood and one spot but spaced symmetrically as if they are two matched lights.

I don’t like the different light covers on there but 100 times out of 100. I’d want them low below the hood line.

Off topic.......but, LOVE your front plate!! That patch is after my time. I was MAC, TAC and AFDW.

As far as your lights, do what you like and you are happy with. Try each out for a week or so and see which one endears you more.

And you have 9. What's your point? All of the lights serve a purpose. Factory, Ditch, Fogs and spot. I haven't gone overboard. I wouldn't need any additional lighting if I never left the city limits. Try running your patrol car without ditch, spots and alleys.

Awesome! I started out in another career field but I did AETC, ACC and AFGSC. (01~18) as a cop. Initially joined in 97. That Nuc life was fun though.

Headlights and fog lights are more than sufficient for me. And I don’t drive a patrol car, I love the effort though not too many people out there get mad enough to look it up
