Cloth. I prefer not to sit in a pool of my own sweat. The 'leather' that comes on the Jeeps is garbage. It is the thinnest slice of leather glued to artificial fibers. It sucks. This is the problem with 99.9% of interiors in normal vehicles. The only way I can tolerate them is if they are cooled/ventilated and I have to run the fans all of the time, no matter what the temps are.

Cloth. Leather gives you swamp ass in the South.
You're in "North Texas"
You know nothing of swamp ass brother, you only get Butt Fog, i might even grant you Creek Crack,

Too funny…. I drove through Alabama, Mississippi and Florida when I had leather seats and the swamp ass was real!

They seem like vinyl to me, not the leather seats from years ago.
As stated earlier in this thread, I had a Commander years ago and the leather on that was atrocious. I don't think it was even close to real leather, cracked and tore within a few years. What years was the leather better with Jeep?

So, why can't Jeep do the Cool seats like they have in the Ram. Noting like a cool breeze blowing up your ass while you cruise down the road with the doors and the top off on a hot sunny day!

Oh for sure, if you pull the drain plug on the driver side, the butt swamp won't pool up on the floorboards. :CWL:

Cloth....er leather...

Have had both and really like both of them.

Cloth is hard to keep clean with a lab who won't sit still. And starts to stink when you get any kind of moisture in it.

The leather was hot AF in the summer and I started to rub a hole in the seat where my knife stayed in my back pocket.

No it doesn’t. Real leather is breathable. The fake vinyl some manufacturers pass off as leather does. I’ve had that before and you definitely sweat. I’ve never once had that problem in my Jeep and it’s super hot in GA in the summer months.

I was actually thinking of my Mom's 92 caddy.

2020 I guess. My Overland leather seats still look new six years later.

I have Katzkin leather in our JT and factory cloth in the JL. I do like both for their pros. I feel the cloth has more cons if you have kids or dogs. My 10 year old will find a way to smash some sticky crap in the fibers of the cloth to where I can wipe it fairly clean in the leather. Baseball dirt/clay? Leather all day long. Summer heat? Cloth. Depends on your lifestyle and usage.

I do find the Katzkin leather is a better option than the factory leather. Luckily my Jeep Beach Edition came with the Katzkins. Usually the one-off special editions (Oscar Mike, Jeep Beach, etc.) have the Katzkins.

Looking at ordering a 26' Mojave. Kinda up in the air with interior. I've had leather in the past and found them to be hot and sweaty even in the great white north. So kinda leaning towards the bolstered Cloth but heated for those winter months. Thoughts?
I prefer cloth. We've never gotten a cloth seat so dirty it couldn't be cleaned - but with three kids we own a Bissel extractor so even deep cleaning is pretty quick and easy. Leather gets too hot in the summer and to be honest - when I'm buying a vehicle everything I need is typically in with the cloth seats. Buying leather usually prices me up thousands of dollars that I just don't need to spend.
Mojave sport bolstered cloth. The power heated seats are a nice improvement from what I had in my 2021 392…that got painful.

But I LOVE the bolstered cloth seats in my loaded with EVERY option…but no X or leather” Mojave. So comfy and the heated wheel, heated cloth, and zero hot/cold issues with temps…

Leather is more desired in resale but no thanks, this time. Love these seats.

Agree. I loaded this thing up with all I could and what I wanted to be as close to an X. Only options I didn't get were the body coloured fenders and leather basically.
