I was going to say put a little dielectric grease in the belt. I had a chirp and it’s gone.
Also had a high pitched “whistle” turned out it’s my off valve at a very specific idle.
That’s all I had to offer

Update......... LAST Update......... this time, for real!!!!
The culprit ended up being the internal bearing on the waterpump.
So......... after a lot of head scratching, and re-diagnosing the diagnosis......... they finally pinpointed the noise to the waterpump, and after they replaced it, my Dremel Whizzzzzing sound is now totally GONE!
Case closed.
Thank God
That’s some great info OP. Glad for you it’s over!
it’s my off valve
whats an off valve? Where do you find it? Photo plz

Glad to hear it solved.

So I guess you still eat the cost of the alternator they shotgunned at it?

Actually, no........ since the original OEM alternator was not the noise culprit, they ended up putting it back on. So NO charge for Alternator or Labor of.

Bumping this up as my 2020 JTR with 61,000mi feels like the EXACT same situation... OP I sent you a DM.

From what I'm gathering though, an alternator clutch rebuild cannot be performed?

Thanks,
John

Status Update: Diagnosed as the Clutch drive on the Alternator. Cannot replace just the clutch pulley, has to get a whole new alternator. Out of warranty...... $700
If you want to save a few dollars take it to an alternator repair place I have one close to me guy could fix for 1/3 to half the price. My Dad used to get the alternator on his 97 international over the road tractor repaired for 100.00 and alternator was usually 500.00( remaned)

Really do not hear of much of alternators going out on these early. For that kind of money, I would be seriously looking at some salvage pulls from Ebay or elsewhere and doing the job myself.

In theory though, having it replaced new at the dealership will come with a two year unlimited mileage MOPAR part warranty. So there is that.
Absofreakinlutely!! 100%

You can replace the alternator clutch - I haven't located the threads, but there have been members do nice write-ups on the process, tools and parts needed.
Maybe one of them will come forward - so far, my searches haven't been fruitful, but I know there's a great writeup by at least one member - did a GREAT job.

I posted my how-to thread above. What you can search is "decoupler pulley"
