Just what I want in my $50k+ Jeep...tolerable. I prefer enjoyable and comfortable but you do you.
Driving with no doors or top (or the bikini) is always a 10 out of 10 for enjoyable for me. If the temp had been about ten degrees cooler I'd have called that comfortable, but as it was for me it had edged slightly toward tolerable, ie, still not bad at all. Triple digit heat simply doesn't bother me much, at least not so long as the humidity stays below 50%.

Sorry to hear you can't fully enjoy what your $50k+ Jeep has to offer.

Humidity in the United States
is low west of the 100th Meridian.
Clyde, Texas lies on its edge.

(Some argue that the "Dry Line"
is the 101st Meridian.)

In any event, it is to me
what makes the west so enjoyable
no matter the season.

Would that I lived there.

Here is one good reason not to drive naked.
Driver ejected and killed in rollover

In my situation,
I am blessed to live in a small town
with low speed limits and sparse traffic.
There is one flashing yellow light
and the "loop" is a straight line.

That, the county dirt roads and the property
that I am fortunate enough to live on
provide plenty of pleasant naked exploring
in my 1998 Wrangler.

Don't get me wrong.
With 100,000 miles on motorcycles
naked traveling is no stranger.
But I do favor my Gladiator
with doors and top
on the highway.

Take it easy and enjoy the ride.

You enjoy yours like an oversized, slow, poor handling miata or motorcycle, I'll continue to enjoy ours at speed in the desert, on trails like the rubicon, John Bull, and the dusy, and on roadtrips to wheeling destinations like CO, Moab, and all over the country regardless of weather or time of year comfortably, but I'm sure you're close to using the Jeep to it's potential because you take the top and doors off. Some buy Jeeps because they like convertibles, some buy Jeeps because they like wheeling, some like to look cool at the mall. Won't say any of them are wrong, but I know what I use mine for and I wouldn't trust any other rig on a lot of these trails, at least not in anything remotely close to stock form. Conversely there are lots of other vehicles with open tops or that look cool at the mall...
I'd still buy Jeeps if the top and doors weren't removable as that's not even remotely what I use them for.

I truly don’t want anyone to defecate or get boned in my Jeep.

I take my Jeeps on trails and roadtrips too, haven't been to a mall in well over a decade. So far I haven't done any California wheeling yet, but have been all over Colorado and done most trails in Moab as well. What I really don't understand why you seem so negative about somebody enjoying their Jeeps and feel it necessary to insult them as a consequence.

Just got back from a fifty mile round trip for an errand, no doors and just a bikini top. Weather is sunny and a little warm at 101°F, the shade from the bikini keeps it perfectly tolerable.

Lol I would die. I can barely stand driving in 101°F with the hard top on and AC maxed. Anything over 75 and I'm uncomfortably warm, over 80 and the top goes on. I have been known to run doorless into late December if it's not raining or snowing, so I might be the weird one.

I don't believe I was, I simply pointed out your own wording in the discussion of why some of us rarely/ never drive around naked as "tolerable". That's when you stated with the not using my Jeeps "potential". I don't but Jeeps for their naked "potential". I find it enjoyable when the weather's perfect, I'm not running at highway speeds for long stretches, and the trails aren't dusty or muddy or wet or sandy. Otherwise it's very limiting and much less enjoyable than closed up for me. As I said, you do you.

I would like some feedback or some help understanding why more people that own gladiators or wranglers don’t take the doors and top off when the weather is nice. I have a hard top Mojave and whenever the weather gets 73 or higher I take the doors and entire top off. The reason I bought a gladiator was for the truck bed, off road potential and the ability to take the doors and top off. The way I see it is if you’re not going to do that why get a jeep. There are other options out there with bigger engines and towing capacity. I get that some owners are soccer moms and young kids that just think it looks cool but I’ve driven by guys my age in their forties on a nice day with the windows up. I just don’t get it. Give me some different perspectives please. Thanks

I'm in Houston. we had a 2-to-3-week window where the weather was actually nice and yes, for that time, I did take the doors off.

Now its 100+.

It aint gonna happen.

When I had a TJ with soft top and soft doors I did it all the time. It took e few minutes at best to roll back the soft top and remove the doors. With my Mojave's hard top and hard doors I can't see me ever doing it. I have nowhere to stow the hardtop and doors and with as many thieves around I think it just invites some chucker to rummage around hoping for a score.

I e driven Jeeps for 50+ years. The vast majority were mil-surp and the newest universal Jeep before the Gladiator was a ‘64 CJ3-B. The JT is the first I’ve had out of 20+ with AC, heater, glass door windows…….:: (the 67 Wagoneer did have an AM radio, so I did have a bit of luxury along the way). I’ve had my full of naked Jeeps. But I certainly support nakedness in any form!

Mopar sells a cover, rain gear does too, or bestop.
Yup….I’ve watched sooo many videos. I’m looking for quicker install and removal because our top is probably ‘on’ more than it is off (weekends). Each one has something that I’m not happy with (For whatever reason).

If it's dry and under 90 I tend to have it mostly naked on the weekends in the summer. I have a cover that was cheap and a just incase it rains that I carry with me. Used mostly to cover it when at home so I'm not reassembling the hard top if it does storm on a weekend.

However... I'm in Michigan so some years I can be topless nearly every weekend if we are having a mini drought and then there is this year where it's been so wet, that the top hasn't been off yet this year. As every weekend it seems like it wants to storm. Though since its a jeep I can still hit the trails and have fun hitting the mud puddles on the trails. Otherwise the trails near me in the National Forest I Iive in middle of are just fine for wheeling with the top off if it's dry. And if not, so what I get to play in the mud instead. Personally I like cruising the big lakes here on a hot day, that's always refreshing on a nice day. But like I said if its horribly hot then yeah no want the A/C.

I take the freedom panels off all the time.
Half door uppers suck absolute ass.
On previous jeeps I ran doorless 24/7 no matter the weather.
then one day a piece of rebar got kicked up off the freeway and went straight into my thigh just barely missing an artery and I lost my appetite for doorless.
I do love half doors for times im cruising but where I live the trails are randomly pure dust clowds so the inability to close up the jeep with windows instantly isn’t appealing

This is my first Jeep, and I'll probably only take off the freedom panels off everyone in a while. I also don't have the room to properly store the top and doors.

I bought it because it was my "only" option to have a newer, more capable rig as well as a truck bed.

I definitely live in the right area to "drive naked," but I take this when I want to do that.
