When I bought mine the wife was happy with the way it looked. Since then it has been lifted 2" and I put 35's on it. she used it one day to drive to her moms. when she got back she got on the computer and started the process to order herself a wrangler high altitude. She sold her 17 ACURA RDX, has been driving one of my other cars for a month now.

You are better off....Heuberger is not the best at fixing things our customer service. Had many bad experiences with them.

I bought Mrs. Klutch a Subaru. She loves that thing so much she doesn't care what I buy. Seriously, I have to change the Subaru oil myself because she doesn't want to lose the use of her Subaru at a shop. Anyway, I bought a Gladiator and I'm thrilled with it. Win-win!

And this is why I don’t get married... I drive what I like. Unless she’s paying the car bill I would drive whatever I felt like. I’ve Been all over the board with cars/trucks my self. Last 2 being fast cars(2006 300 srt8 and 2017 Daytona 392 charger). I get a lot of people don’t like the gladiator and I could careless I love it, I picked up a rubicon gladiator about 2 months ago and have no buyers remorse, one of my favorite cars I’ve owned.

I spent ten years trying to make my now ex wife happy.
She went though a lot of brand new cars.
She got every new car and I had to DD my project cars.
Anything I drove I had to sell for the next thing. If it broke....well, sucks to be you have fun walking to work.
I had the unique experience of driving a 51 Chevy truck (daily inline 6), a 53 Buick daily (straight 8). Snow, rain whatever.
1953 Buick on bias ply white walls is the true definition of lead sled. Vacuum wipers. Yep. Those old timers had skills behind the wheel.
I sold a lot of cars I loved and missed out on a few sweet ones because of her rules.
We are happily divorced now for 7 years. (still trying to figure out how to register for a divorce....maybe Caskers and Northridge?)
My Gladiator was the first vehicle I have ever picked out and gotten for me.
The kids love it. She HATES it. Told the kids it looks like an El Camino....which I don't get.
Her new husband loves it and wants one. I'm sure words were had and he didn't get to use his.
The irony is she now personally owns 3 cars.

She should know what she got into. Kinda messed up to trade her vehicle for yours. I'd think if you swap your own vehicle, there should be no issues. When I do date, I warn women....I'll never bring home a strange woman, but you do need to worry about me bringing home extra vehicles, guitars, or amps.

My wife wasn’t real thrilled about going back into debt. Our Ram was paid for. After looking at a few, and test driving them, they brought the one we ended up buying around to look at. We both fell in love with it, and now fuss about who’s turn it is to drive it.......

Don't you each have your own vehicle? Why would you be trading 'Her 4Runner' in on a Jeep for you?

If you share a vehicle, then compromise is key. It might come down to a Wrangler or a divorce. Which would make your life better, the wife or the Gladiator?

Maybe a little. I read yours more as don’t even discuss it in any form (financially or otherwise). Maybe I’m just reading too much into it.

Nah. I said, if it’s not a financial thing, just get it. It was all in fun either way.

Told my husband I wanted to trade my Volvo for a Gladiator. He told me it was a bad idea, but whatever.

A year later over dinner he tells me he understands now, and is glad I made a choice that has brought me happiness

When I got my first Jeep, my wife was not too happy about it (05 Wrangler TJ, soft top), she said it bounced around too much. Then she talked me into trading it on for a 16 Wrangler Willys). She was not too impressed with the Gladiator when it for came out. She said it looked like a truck built out of lego bricks. But then, when I went and test drove one, and she saw I loved it and she suggested I trade in my Wrangler for one. She loves the truck and has stated that when her car is ready to be traded in, she wants a Gladiator.
