I’ll have to set my decibel metre around there and get some readings.

OP, you noticed a 70% noise decrease. Did you use a decibel metre?

Headed out to the garage to check mine. Although I haven't noticed it being overly annoying, I'm sure I will now that I've read this :)

I’ve been trying to eliminate wind noise for 1.5 yrs and stumbled on cure. I ran the cable shown in first pic and wind noise got worse. I sealed the area per pics and case solved.

Awesome. I wondered where the noise was coming from and I knew it wasn't the windshield.

I have wind noise on my Wrangler from where the Freedom Panels meet the Windshield frame. I have adjusted the brackets to their lowest position so the panels are on tight. I have no idea how to stop the wind noise. When I put the soft top on the noise is a lot lower, so it has to be in the panels. I do not have this issue with my Gladiator.

I actually just tried this. Removed both cowls, used some duct tape to start and then actually used some dense latex foam that I had in my garage from an old mattress topper that I was about to toss. Cut to size, secured it in and put the cowls back on. Have since driven about 40-50 miles and I can say that I do notice a decrease in cabin noise mostly because I was able to keep my radio volume much lower than usual... Thanks for the tip!

Hmm, I might need to look into this. My Mojave was quiet, until I had to I had to make the non-funcional hood scoop functional. I'm guessing additonal air + removal of the hood insulation is aggrevating places suseptable to noise. Yah, I could block it off again, but maybe this will work instead.

Are there online instructions or youtube video on how to remove the panels?

I was going to try this with some grocery bags and loctite expanding foam. Unfortunately, the old can of loctite got stale.
I'll just shove in some basic foam before hitting the highway today amd see how it goes.
