Bought my JT two years ago next month. It's my daily driver. Drove it 10 hours each way to Oklahoma and back last September. No misfires. No issues.

Other than a loose caliper housing bolt that fell out at a most inopportune time, I haven’t had a single issue in 20k miles…

Edited to add that this is the first I’ve heard of a misfire issue.

Purchased July 2020, 26K miles, trailer towing, multiple trips from NY to Maine, 1 trip to SC. The only issue I had was the steering TSB, that was fixed within 2 weeks.

13k miles in since January 2020. Some issues, all resolved under warranty (without hassle).
  • First Clutch Recall
    • Bled and replaced clutch
      • No issues
  • Second Clutch Recall
    • Software fix
      • No issues
  • Steering Box Replacement
    • I took a technician on a test drive, showed turning the wheel side to side without corresponding vehicle movement.
    • Replaced steering box
      • No issues
    • Drives a LOT better now.

If you're having issues, and the dealership isn't helping, I'd suggest finding a different dealership.

Oh, I forgot about the passenger side mirror adjustment that quit and was fixed under warranty but now needs to be looked at tomorrow because it is kaput again, and the recurring sun visor issue, but if that’s all that ever happens I will be one happy man as they are very minor in the grand scale of things.

This truck still makes me happier than any other vehicle I’ve ever owned.

My Gladiator is a year older on Saturday. No issues. Tried to get them to do steering TSB but was “functioning as designed”.

Ask to take the technician on a test drive and demonstrate it to them. That's what worked for me.

This thread just got necro’d today by someone that didn’t even experience the problem. We can probably let it go.

Picked up my JTR in March 2020, has about 20,000 miles, no mis-firing issues. Actually hardly any issues other then an electrical gremlin that was found and fixed under warranty by my local dealership.

Have them READ the TSB - it says nothing about a test drive or their opinion, it says clearly if the customer complains of any of the above - do the following.
It basically states - "if customer complains, fix it".

No where does it say test drive it or diagnose it.
My dealer said ok, we'll fix it (but the service writer also said "a Gladiator should not do that")
