But Iknew I could not go wrong with a standard army green on a Jeep. Throw some black on the outside and tan on the inside and wah lah! I really would have liked it though if the army green could come in a flat paint without gloss

Ah but when your wife sees how many miles are on the truck and we get a "reminder" that the 3/36 warranty is about up and she says "could you trade this one in and get a new one"?....
And as a blue-ribbon quilter with a great eye for color and design, you know she's generally right.
We seldom disagree on colors.
We were shooting for snazzberry but Jeep removed that as a choice a day before I ordered.
I have a new one because she was wondering what mine would be worth and what it would cost to trade.

There are really only two colours that literally turn my head in traffic. The first is Gator on a Gladiator. I love that colour and every time I see one I am a bit bummed out that Jeep discontinued it after 2020.
The second is whatever they call the red on Mazda cars. It is such a deep rich bright candy apple type of red. I stare in wide eyed amazement every time I see one ?.

Mazda's red is called "Soul Red." I had a CX-9 with that color and it was the most beautiful, deepest red I've ever seen. In sunlight, it took on several different layers of color. It is better than any other red on the market, in my opinion. The only downside is that it's apparently very difficult to touch up or repaint damaged areas because the process is proprietary.

100% on the Mazda red color (It's actually called "Soul Red Metallic"). I was gonna get my project bike sprayed in that color.
Whoever mixed and chose that color for Mazda deserves some kudos. It really is striking.

(On a side note, Mazda has really stepped it up a notch in recent years with their vehicles. Really high-quality fit and finish. Even the interiors are nicer than many BMWs and other Euros...

I have a question though, some of you are talking trading in to get other color etc... why not just wrap the car with a decent foil (is that what it is called in English)?

Is it not as popular a solution in the US?

I love my Gobi, but some crazy pearl colors might be a go.
