When I ordered my Gobi JTM, I included the Auxiliary Switches option despite not really having any specific plans for them. I figure better have them included now and not need them yet, vs. needing them later and having to retro-fit them.
I want to keep the truck as "clean" as possible, with limited 'accoutrements' - specifically extra lightning hanging from every body part and crevasse. In fact, the only auxiliary lighting I plan on is maybe some extra driving/fogs on the bumper and the Quadratec "Stealth Lightbar" behind the windshield - and I'm actually hoping to just use one of the aux switches for both of these.

So just curious, what do others have connected to your switches? I'm assuming the overwhelming majority is auxiliary lightning, but what else? Any recommendations? I don't plan to do any rock crawling... just some basic camping, and beach crawling. Maybe a moderate-duty compressor? Got any recommendations?

AUX 3 - Winch power cut-off solenoid - hit AUX3 and give power to the winch.

AUX 4 - Oracle bumper mounted LED backup lights - they come on in reverse, or I can hit AUX4 and turn them on any time I want to light up my trailer when loading or strapping down a car, or for whatever reason I want.

AUX 2 - 12v power outlet and USB charging in the bed of the truck. May add something else back there, but this way I don't have hot wires going to the bed of the truck all the time, only when I want it.

This, I really like! Will definitely consider this!

I am only using one at the moment, it powers our fridge while the truck is running. When the truck turns off, it automatically disengages and the PLB40 runs the fridge until the truck turns back on

Quadratec "Stealth Lightbar" behind the windshield
One of the many benefits of running a light bar inside the cab is it doesn't take up an aux switch. The lightbar has it's own on/off switch (if i remember it's actually tri-position: white/off/amber)

Papa, how did you run the wiring for the rear mounted light bar to the engine bay? What path did you take and how did you secure? We are going to be getting a new trailer and that would be great to have that to one of my Aux switches.

@Shawdowspapa, can you explain how to wire a selenoid for the winch and how to wire for back up lights to come on in both reverse and switch. I am illiterate as far as electrical goes. I have only wired my GRMS to switch 4 so far. Thanks, Joel

Aux 1 for winch solenoid
Aux 2 for KC Apollo Pros on front bumper.

Once I get my camper, I'll probably have Aux 3 for amber chase lights.

That's it so far.

Aux 1 & 2 - Nothing presently but may do the winch cutout solenoid
Aux 3 - ARB Twin Compressor solenoid
Aux 4 - Rock Lights

I do however have a full Solar System with MPPT charge controller mounted in the bed, so I have a switch panel back there that runs scene lighting, canopy lighting, water pump, USB chargers, etc. If it weren't for that set up I would likely have had some of those attached to the Aux Switches.
