wow, they look different than my 2020 bolts.

ty
No problem. Mine is a 2020 Sport S so I thought the bolts would be the same. I picked mine up 1 Aug 20 with 18 miles on the odometer.

this has been sitting in the noggin for a couple days and has me curious since the 3/4in was too much for me.

What bolts are those? They dont look like the bolts holding my seat frame down and I cant find them in a replacement parts list.

Here is a picture of the head of the bolt in mine. Not that it shows all that much but might help out?

Unfortunately, you will never be comfortable in the seat. Go sit in a full size pickup like ford f150 or Chevy or Ram and you will see.
Honestly find the gladiator leather seat more comfortable than my leather Raptor seats were.

Just pointing out the reality. Ive been there and done that. Ive owned jeeps longer than 90% of this forum (since 97) its just not a big enough vehicle for people op’s size because of the sound bar and seat pan angle.
I had my first CJ5 in 1987 or so ... guess I'm in the 10%!

I'm probably just not understanding how these seat jackers work, but as someone who is 6'4 i don't get how they won't put my head through the ceiling..

I'm 5'8" and drove home 1100 miles after I picked up my Mojave. I didn't really experience any discomfort until about 8 hours into the drive. Which was as good as any car I've owned.

I'm not saying the seats are universally comfortable. But for me (5'8" and 175 lbs) they were better than expected.

The seat jackers go a long way towards making the seats more comfortable. But for me, the .75 raise was too much angle… I wish they had a .4-.5” version! Just a lil bit would be good for me.

If you want to try a set, shoot me a PM, I’ll sell the ones I have for a good price ;)
If you just want to raise them under 1/2 inch, can you put some washers on the bolt between the rails and the floor? In the interest of safety, I'd replace the bolts with longer grade 8 bolts just so they have the same thread engagement as before the washers.

I agree with this. My Raptor had the worst seats of any vehicle I’ve owned. Partly why I moved on from it. That and the transmission was horrible. In fact, I haven’t been able to find a Ford seat I can get comfortable in. I’ve tried, hence why we’ve had 4 Jeeps/Rams.

I'm only 5'9, a light weight, 31" inseam. I have pretty bad piriformis syndrome, where I get fiery pain shooting down my right butt cheek and leg. I was able to get my seat pretty comfortable.

My method is:
  1. Start with the seat along the y axis and get my feet comfortably to the peddles. I find that having my legs further stretched out (seat back further) puts a little more stress on my sciatic nerve
  2. Then I do the recline to have good posture.
  3. Lastly, adjust the steering wheel to bring it to me, instead of bringing my seat to the wheel. I'm looking for a comfortable reach, but not so far it's making me lean in to the wheel.
Seat height is not something I've messed with yet. Does anyone have any experience with the relationship of seat height with pressure on the sciatic nerves? Is higher better? I feel like I already have to duck down an inch to see the info dash under the top of the wheel.

No to sound insensitive but for what it's worth, coming from a smaller frame guy at 5'6" - the gladiator fits me absolutely perfectly in every way. I love how it is smaller on the inside and the seating positions/angles, as well as the heigh for windshield view. I can easily drive 10 hours (with rest stops) and not feel fatigue compared to other vehicles. This probably isn't helpful for the OP but just wanted to provide a different perspective. I certainly feel for the larger folks.... Then again, my step-brother is about 6'3" and 300 pounds - he can't barely squeeze into my '06 TJ if his life depended on it. Fact is these are small vehicles. And I love that they are small......

On the opposite side, for work we have 1500 and 2500 series Ram and Chevy trucks. When I get in those for work...they are absolutely horrid for me. Everything is a mile and a half away to touch or grab and the vehicle feels so darn large it's not safe to operate. In contrast, I fit perfectly into my old OBS 97 F350....

The point - I guess it really just depends on your body size.... Not that is helpful any...but maybe just a perspective. I do hope those larger folks are able to find a way to be comfortable though!

(1) Yes.

(2) No.

I am 5'10" and 180 lbs. The stock seat, like the JL I had before it, was uncomfortable due to the seat bottom being higher at the back than the front when raised up. I always felt like I was sliding forward out of the seat.

The original Seat Jackers did away with that awful slope forward and makes my JT seat perfectly comfortable.
I felt the same way, like I was sliding forward. The seat jackers made it perfect for me. Very comfortable now in 6 plus hour drives. I'm 5'11 and 200 lbs. FYI

When I was looking for my JT I did find that the cloth seemed to sit higher than the leather. Not sure if one just had more give than the other new, but I would’ve thought the opposite if that were the case.

The seat slammers work better for taller people.
