The timing of this was rather freaky as I was helping a person with ADHD diagnosis and tips and such and was going through some of my old links and notes as a few years ago I was contacted by Rick Green (actor, writer, comedian from Canada) about doing beta testing on a web site he and his company were creating. It was connected to a TV show he'd done with Patrick McKenna. Rick's company? Big Brain Productions, inc. and that name had just been on my computer screen when I popped in here and what did I see but that image above.

Finally installed OEM DRLs and Headlights. DRLs I bought used awhile back from @jl_explorer ... headlights brand new from BAM Wholesale. No more used birthday candles for me. The halogens are criminal in 2022. Not saying halogens can't be good...Jeep just installs the worst ones on Earth.

Shout out to @jl_explorer for the flawless DRLs. Lights perfect. Harness perfect. Every clip perfect. Brand new from Jeep would be no different. Glad I got them in....waited forever to install them until I got the headlights.

any issues swapping from hallogen to LED DRLs? I have a set and ive been holding off on putting them in after reading folks have issues with them not working right.

Yeah, and I don't get that. Decent engineering elsewhere, made for off-road, backwoods, places where visibility of the driver and being seen are critical, and yet.........
I was waiting in a doctor's office a few days ago, going nuts with boredom those 10 minutes and did some more research and reading of tech articles on lighting. Found an article comparing various light types and they also pretty much said - halogen isn't dead, just that some are far better than others and picking the best halogens isn't that much down from OK LEDs.
The halogen sealed beams on my SX4 (after-market, a few steps up from the factory halogens) will put some modern halogens to shame - white light, really bright, good distance. Better aim 'em or you'll blind people.

Heck, the halogens in my '04 Grand Cherokee were better than the ones in my Gladiator.

Installed the mopar TBC today. Wayyyyyyy easier than I anticipated. Less than 30mins. Ill be giving it a functions test on Tuesday.

the gauge cluster part was straight forward.

I ended up routing the wires through the spot below my steering wheel and mounted it to a rando bracket in there. The bracket the TBC comes with uses the same holes as my dead pedal..so im glad i was able to find a different spot.

the final product is super clean looking.

@ShadowsPapa have you found a spot / way to mount the 12v ? I remember reading you talking about it but can’t recall the outcome.

Still thinking about it........ still need to find a good spot that's not in the way when something is plugged into it.

The "box" didn't interfere with my dead pedal, and although it was a royal pain, I learned from the first time so this time wasn't as bad but I had actually thought about mounting it where I had the Redarc in the 2020.

Went and bought a harbor freight rack with the 25% off coupon.

Now to figure out how to make it work with my Rebel offroad bed rails. Any Ideas? I plan on cutting the "legs" down to 11" and re tapping them to install my RTT.
