Anyone ever reach a point where they feel like they’ve finished their build? I think I’ve reached that point on my ‘20 JT.

Here are the specs:
4” Ready Lift w/ Falcon Shocks
37” MT Baja MTZ
17” Fuel Wheels
4.88 Gears
Katzkin Leather interior
DV8 Headlights
Oracle Tail Lights
Pedal Commander
Bestop Sunrider
Rubicon Hood

A few other odd and ends as well.

Of course there are a few thing that would be nice like sway bar disconnects and lockers. Though I had considered selling it haha.

I would say quite a few people have gotten to that point. Some have sold and moved on to another platform to start again.

Every person is going to be different of when they are truly done. If you are putting stuff on for sake of something to do with no real return value, then it is time to step back and evaluate.

In my mind, no build is every really done, they just slow down, at least until we don't own them anymore. I'm in a similar spot where I'm not in a rush to add anything else to it. The only thing that I can think of at this point that would "Improve" my truck that I would seriously consider doing would be adding lockers.

BUT, I've also debated selling it, but only to get into a Rubicon, transferring my mods into the new truck and getting lockers that way.

The way that I like to think of it is I mentally catalog my builds in stages, each getting further away from what's realistic, but it could happen...maybe...someday.

Stage 1: Stock
Stage 2: Lift and tires (How I got my truck as the 2nd owner ?)
Stage 3: Full skids, steel bumpers, and winch, more trail ready and less daily friendly. (You are here)
Stage 4: Add lockers/upgrade axles (re-gear already done, debating on how to/if to go forward)
Stage 5: Dedicated trail rig, no longer a daily driver (camping gear, full recovery equipment, etc.) (If I hold onto the truck and don't trade/sell for something else).
Stage 6: Hemi Swap?!? Full Cage?!? (Never gonna happen)

I said I was done once…I won’t make that mistake again. There’s always room for improvement.

Building things is an addiction. Im the same when it comes to firearms. I can build AR’s all day everyday.
The Jeep is my latest project though and guns have become just “work” for now.

Jeep parts are more expensive though much to my wife’s dismay!

I’ve heard the phrase a few times, “You need WHAT for your Jeep?!”
See I broke this so I need to upgrade x, y and z but then n is the weak point and I really don’t want to get stranded with your dad on our deer hunt in 10 months because parts are backed up… so Amex said it’s okay if you do…

If you have the mod bug. You are never truly done. You think you are, but you're not. You may get rid of the vehicle. Then start new with another vehicle. I've dump a ton of money into each vehicle I ever owned, save for one. That was my '13 Grand Cherokee TrailHawk. I've got close to $100K in my Nismo. Think I'm done with it. Nah......there are is still things I want to do to it. I'm stock piling parts for for my JT now.

I'm a retired senior control room operator at a power plant. To keep busy, and make some extra cash. I drive truck part time for a local company. It's funding my hobbies.

That’s awesome man. I’m not sure what you made when working, but I just these past few years was able to make a good living. However, we also bought our first house and the JT in the last 24 months. I’m sure I’ll be up to shenanigans in no time!
