Ford talked about a Bronco derivative truck in the works early on, but dropped it to deal with the issues of sorting out Bronco production.

Having had several 80-92 Broncos over the years, (and loving them), I do not care for the new ones available. However, I do like that rendering of a Bronco truck. I wouldn’t trade my Gladiator for one, but, I would check them out if mine was totaled or something.

The solid axle of the jeep and the better power plants (for the money) have me grounded on the gladiator. However, ford's automotive design team is making the most aesthetic cars in the industry imo. The s550 and bronco are instant classics.

We're nervous cause it looks OK!..

I'd have been fine with a IFS Mojave.. I'm sure 1/2 the buyers of gladiators would opt for a decent IFS system.. It would be in jeeps best interest build a bullet proof IFS system for the gladiator looking into the future. Look at any trophy truck or 3500,.. IFS isn't weak or limiting in any way if implemented correctly. JT would ideally be sold with an optional solid or IFS axle as an option.. Hell they aren't even doing solids right.. a full floater is the right approach to a solid axle.

I’d like to see them make it to market. I suspect, even far down the road, it would rattle both Bronco and Ranger sales too much with marginal market gain to get the green light.

Midsize truck and Bronco sales would have to be quite hot still while Ranger sales tank I think for Ford to consider putting the BTruck back on the table.

Gladiator sales are not strong enough for Ford to make a Bronco truck competitor. But it does look good.

Very much disagree. The IFS is absolutely limiting. Trophy trucks are an extremely specific application. SFA is 100% the reason I am in a JT. I have owned and driven a lot of IFS, Frontier, Ranger, Xterra, 4Runner, and Tacoma (was traded for the JT) and it isn't even close. The JT is more capable by leaps and bounds. I currently own a new Bronco. The 2.7L and 10 speed are pretty good and drive fantastic on road. I am a fan of forced induction, even with the issues it can present. However, the IFS is severely limiting, even at stock 35s. Not only for parts strength and being able to lift cheaply and easily, but in performance. The JT walks up stuff that the Bronco struggles with due to articulation.

If Jeep ever goes to IFS on the Wrangler/Gladiator I will have to keep old ones running.
Yes, for a $100K you can build a great IFS, but OEM will never be as good as a straight axle for what I like doing.
If you want to feel like you're riding on a cloud buy a Lexus.
