This tank is going where the spare tire normally resides. With 40’s, I have no use for the spare in that location, and I do not want to sacrifice bed space for fuel. As it sits by volume, it’s 35.5 gallons. Spare is going on a custom bumper swing out I will start after this is done. Parts I’m waiting on:
Transfer pump, switches, fuel level, weld in parts for pump, vent and fill connections.
I’ve got a trick up my sleeve for how I’m going to fill it, gonna take me a minute to get that built.

My driver side mat was loaded with white salt residue from our fun winter. I mean it was WHITE and the stuff was so bad it was even flaking off the mat.
A couple cups of hot water poured onto the mat, swish around by hand and sort of scrub the salt to dissolve it, pull the plug and guide the water out, repeat, put plug back in. I've done that twice already.

So thats all the white stuff is all over the sidewalk and roads (kidding)... I'm not used to seeing salt on roads and sidewalks like I'm seeing currently in Illinois ?.

My wife had me wash her Jeep the other day - it was like someone sprayed white paint on certain parts with the thick layer of salt.
I'm sure IL is very similar.
My front bumper was covered with a slime from the front tires throwing it forward onto the bumper and into the back of the front bumper.

Man same here. In early Dec, we had 150% snow water equivalent. Now were down to 70% - its bad....really bad. Almost no snow left in the valley bottoms. All the snow higher up is like ice. Only the mtn tops have deep snow now. Today was wicked too. 35 in the morning when it should have been 0 or below. Then a crazy wind storm and rain.... I really don't want to deal with another fire season but it's looking like that will be the case.

My wife has a new Wrangler - you know the window switches are the same on those and our trucks. She's got a handicap where she can't reach and hold the window switches where they are. She can quickly hit a button to get a window down, but up is really tough.
So I was given the task of finding a way to add "one touch up" for her Wrangler.
Since they are basically identical, I figure that if it can be done on JT, it can be done on JLU the same way.
I need to know costs and if there's a turn-key kit since I'm swamped with things as it is, and she'll want it ASAP (and it's a brand new Jeep - so no cutting wires)

Backstory -
22 Overland

I put Daystar spacers under rear springs - 0.75"
Of course that raised the rear 3/4". The point was to have the truck sit level when towing once I also installed air bags to control sag. I also anticipated a roughly 1" lift in the front later.

The way I measure is shown in photo below - I do it this way so it won't matter what tires are on it, or the inflation of the tire and so on.
I'm measuring suspension only.

A stock Overland is 21.5" by this measure. What's what mine was when I bought it, that's what new ones on the lot measure (I checked two of them today)
When I put the steel bumper and winch and 2" receiver on the front, it dropped down from 21.5" to 20.75". A loss in height of 0.75" (3/4")
I talked to the guy at Synergy and one of their resellers - their 1" springs are supposed to lift a fully loaded Rubicon JLU 1". They said it should do the same for me. They said "fully loaded with steel bumper" so I figured I'd not only get that 3/4" back but maybe more.
The Synergy 1" springs took my truck back to 21.5" - the stock height.
With the snow plow on it dropped 1.5"

So I figured if the 1" springs made this truck sit stock height, and it didn't really lift it, then the 2" springs should give me 1" over stock height since it's supposed to lift 1" more than the 1" does.
If a 1" spring should lift a loaded Rubicon JLU 1" - and the 1" put my truck up to stock I was counting on gaining only 1 more inch to sit at 22.5"

I put the 2" synergy springs in and oooops........ now it's too high!
It sits 23.25" instead of 21.5
I wanted 22.5" to give just a little bit of lift and all but level it out.
I put a jack under the front the other day, raised the jack until that measurement shown in red arrows) was exactly 22.5" and it was PERFECT, and the steps close to how high they are on her Wrangler.

If a 1" spring should lift a loaded Rubicon JLU 1" - and the 1" put my truck up to stock I was counting on gaining only 1 more inch to sit at 22.5"
Obviously I'm into that second stronger spring rate on these dual-rate springs.

Rats. Damn glad I didn't add the 3/4" spacers up front! I'd be 'coon hunting at night.
As it is my low beams now light up road signs in the distance.

So I guess Spock is correct when telling me this -

I'm in deep doo-doo as now my truck sits 1" higher at the steps than her RUBICON which she really struggles to pull herself up into. I noticed it was more if a pull to get myself into my truck than into her J:LU Rubicon.
I measured tonight at at the "steps" or "Running boards' it's a full 1" taller than hers.
Oops. She's going to be unhappy being unable to climb into this thing.

This is way higher than I wanted on the front.

Looks like this front end height will be better for when the plow is attached. For my wife the factory running boards did not work. The boards are almost as high as the door entry. I went with N-Fab steps and my wife says they are slightly better for getting into the Jeep. Of course she thinks we need to get the electric slider steps.

My gladiator has the same Bulletpoint mount. Typically have only used the driver and center mounts. Love the quality of the Bulletpoint products. Can be a challenge to get the charging cables sorted.

Same here, I do let my wife in the Jeep every so often so I got one for her side also. Maybe she will put the phone down once in a while while we're on a long trip.
