Finally decided on a phone mount. HOLY COW! Bulletpoint makes great products! I was so indecisive about which mount. I finally settled on this one from BulletPoint and another which utilizes the vent. I wasn't happy about the mounting solution on the vent so it's getting returned. I know alot of others use and show BulletPoint products, this is VERY well made and solid construction, does not feel cheap at all and the mount is extremely sturdy. Very happy with my choice.

There seems to be some misconceptions about the Jeep 3/36 warranty coverage.

Jeep will not turn down warranty service (if needed) just because the oil has been changed outside the dealership in his or her garage and the Jeep Wave freebies were unused.

Some may have been scared into this way of thinking but this is completely false.
I never said that a warranty would be void if someone did their own maintenance or had another party do it. I said it would be easier and less hassle if all the records were right there at the dealership. I’m into less hassle.

We help sellers get multiple offer for their car in as little as one business day.
okay i have to say, Stephen the tech for Bestek who installs @Bestop Sunriders in Texas, Oklahoma and beyond is freaking awesome. Seriously the nicest, coolest guy and top notch professional who made the paying for and installation process total worth it in my opinion. And of course, Bestop is awesome and after reading tons of amazing reviews and watching amazing reviews on YouTube, i knew i had to have one!
i am now the proud new owner of a Sunrider on my Jeep Gladiator!!!

WOAH!! That looks so good! I know the first drive with all the windows down must have been amazing.

Dealership service records are always the path of least resistance when it comes to them examining a warranty claim and less likely to get a case of the stupids vs. brought in owners records. In a perfect world, owners records should have pretty much the same weight as dealership records but we do not live in that world.

Agreed. I never sell privately and always trade-in. Wanting to point that out to others reading as some dealers might use that to their advantage and possibly tweak the trade appraisal numbers. "Gee, your trade-in has no maintenance history-it will be harder for us to sell". Some can be real scumbags and will use anything in their favor.

I have a rock-solid relationship with my dealer, and they don't operate that way. Otherwise, I would have walked thirteen years ago with my first Dodge Challenger order/purchase.
One reason I like working with Scott - still don't like their manager's tactics, is that Scott tells his boss and others there that I take top-notch care of things.

I sold the WJ I bought from my father's estate after he died - because I had more Jeeps than I could drive or needed. I had a lady actually say she wanted to take the vehicle to a town 60 minutes away and let her mechanic look at it. I told her- I'd take it to a local shop of her choice, but she wasn't take it an hour away on her own. I had all of the service records my father kept plus my own and was willing to let someone local look at it for her, but she was going to be "one of those". So when a guy came by the next day, I took his offer that was a bit lower than hers just to be done with some people.
He knew WJs, they'd owned them before and gave it a good looking over himself. He even knew what to expect as far as things not working.

Selling or trading can be tricky when there's sales tax involved. I got the high NADA and KBB number for my wife's Grand Cherokee when we traded - yes, selling privately may have gotten me a little bit more - but the tax differences would have eaten up that difference and then some.
Similar for my 2011 Silverado - I had to weigh the tax difference vs. what I MIGHT get in private sale.
Selling it outright for 2500 more than the dealer's offer in trade netted me a whopping 500 bucks due to the extra taxes I had to pay not having a trade.

CB is on! and it lights up a pretty blue color when keyed. Crazy to think that light is powered solely by the RF produced during transmission.

This is how I think of it as well. Plus, the extra hassle of trying to sell the vehicle myself, no matter how well I keep my stuff. Lots of folks use in house financing that won't go to their own bank or credit union.

It could be a real killer for dealers (and us) if state laws change and no longer allow sales tax credits for trade-ins. I used to live in Arizona and they were threatening to take that away years ago. :(

Finally, parts arrived. Pretty much the key to being able to put a lot of things together. I'm pretty satisfied with the layout so far.

Installed some new ditch lights to replaced the ones that were stolen a few weeks back. Unfortunately my existing wiring is too short to connect to the new lights so I have to wait until my work shop isn’t full of trailers to re wire them. I don’t feel like doing it in my freezing garage.

It sucks that there are so many thieves that that we have to constantly worry about our own hard earned and paid for things. I greatly dislike thieves. Even worse is so many police departments are actually suggesting to purposefully buy junker cars for recreation because prosecutors won't do anything and there's no significant repercussion - so it just gets worse.

Got replacement 37’s installed today. Goodbye to the loud BFG KM2 and hello to new Hankook Dynapro XT. I hope the Hankooks perform well off road. On road they are 10x better than the BFG. Interesting note, Discount Tire couldn’t get the Jeep to lift with the floor lift, they said it was too high.

The problem with the snow plow is not just operationally, but hooking up to it and taking it off.
That's where the issues will be. I'm at the borderline measurement with the plow installed so it should be "level enough" as far as how they want it when using it.
Maybe things will "settle in" a bit with all that weight on it for a while. I should go out and raise the plow!
I love the ride - it's really super-smooth on the front. You don't feel every little bump or pit in the pavement. Great ride.

Western makes an extension/drop bracket to add onto each reciever point of your existing vehicle mount. I've got the 2" mopar lift on my 2020, and had to add this on to mine. I think the kit was around $80. If your Western shop doesn't know about it, try Storks Plows in western PA. They specialize in Jeeps for plowing.

But honestly, looking at your pictures, I think it's fine. The slight down angle of the setup looks about the same as mine. No matter what, this is still a medium duty plow setup. The amount of snow you would have to push in one shot to force the front end of your jeep up would be more than the height the plow can push. I've pushed enough to have snow falling over the top, and the jeep is still going.
