We in the US are "Supposed" to be protected by the MM act, but the tech said something about Canadians not having the same type of act/protection we do.
That is correct. Canadians are not covered under the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. I can't speak about recent times, but 5 years ago or so, Amsoil had never lost a lawsuit when an OEM tried to challenge them.

The owner is from Canada, so he doesn't have those same protections that we have here in the U.S. AMsoil still may reach out to ZF and clear their name, but that doesn't mean ZF has to honor any warranty.
Put aside the issue is transmission related or Canadian. And read the section of the post that dissect's amsoil warranty into it's core parts and how they deflect responsibility. That is the part Amsoil users should know about. Which then supports what I am saying and which is applicable to US folk.

I'm getting the Amsoil oil change tomorrow. Has anyone had issues with Amsoil yet? Pennzoil has been hard to find around here and the Rotella T6 is still being used at dealer, but the containers still don't show it meets the specs. I figure the Amsoil is the better option after watching videos of it in comparison to Pennzoil in lab environments. I've never used Amsoil but used to use Castrol for all my other vehicles (non-diesel).

Also, who on here has the Insane Diesel set up and for how long?

First time I’m hearing about this. Curious to know if it's snake oil and they just get you hooked on their subscription of filters on top of the normal ones or if it really works and what does it gives. Their claims are kind of wild?

I wouldn't worry as much if it was the 3.6L. The 3.0L Diesel is very specific and must have the required certification. There was a big stink a while ago north of the border, where a fella's warranty was voided using Amsoil. I'm not saying it's bad stuff, but to my knowledge they didn't go through the proper certification process and they have different laws up there. I think you did a search on this forum you may be able to find something on it.

...This being said, when it's time to service my axles I'm probably using Amsoil. I've watched hours of YT videos on it and it seems to be pretty good.

My local Advance Auto has Pennzoil on the shelf.

Have 4 jugs sitting in the garage. Along with 2 oil filters and 2 fuel filters.
I think I have 4 oil filters (2-Mopar 2-something else) and I used my last fuel filter a couple of weeks ago. Interesting thing is I had almost 0 water in the old one. About 10k…

I guess I'll keep shopping or just go back to the dealership for another round. Amsoil appeared to be a great idea, but now it seems it's just too risky.
