If you're religious, start praying for the body bolts.
Do they install using the frame-to-body bolts, or the same bolts that the Rubicon rails bolt to?

One thing I found about the loooong frame-to-body bolts is that they have retainers up high so even once you fully unthread them, they don't come right out. The washers are captive.
If those rails use those bolts, good luck. The swedging has to be filed down to remove the flat washers if anything is to be installed between bolt head and washer. (unless that something is slotted)

Learned the hard way - and bought an induction heater.

Lol, yeah people have voiced their troubles with the body bolts. Im not jumping in this, I'm going to do plenty of research, and buy whatever things that will make the job smoother. I keep thinking torx IP fasteners, which I need to double check. I read a lot on here, sometimes things get crossed up

Gotcha, yeah every OEM bolt I've touched on the Jeep has a captive washer so far, having a captive washer be captive somewhere is a whole different level, lmao

Yeah Im going to do more reading, watch a few vids, buy a couple more tools (MOAR TOOLS!!!) and tackle this like a gentleman. It's nothing outside my wheelhouse by any means.

Heat is your friend. My fronts came off at just over 50ft ibs, middles at 65, rears were a jerk and took over 100 and were chattering most the way.

Stored the snowblower. I’ve “decided” that winter is over. It snowed yesterday, but I’m over it.

Of course! They are factory loctited, I was going to heat for sure. Maybe even buy an induction heater finally so I dont have to run a torch, lmfao

I do a lot of wrenching, lot of torquing, compounds, fluids, familiar with it all so I stick with best practices. Heat to break up the threadlocker, full engagement on fastener, breaker bar or rattle gun then success

We help sellers get multiple offer for their car in as little as one business day.
You tried one of the roller brush vacumes?
I have not, it was a classic lint roller, probably not meant for animal fur. Got any recommendations on a roller brush vacuum? Tired of carrying white fur with me everywhere...

Like the V10 Animal or similar? If it's like cat hair, you'll still find it 2 years later.
I've used rollers, duct tape, packing tape and the Dyson Animal and that hair still gets down into areas, then later resurfaces as if by magic.
Yawnie has been gone for several months, and the last time I had him in my car was 3 or 4 years ago - and once in a while I still find one of his orange hairs. That's after prepping and detailing that car multiple times for multiple car shows.
But the Dyson Animal series is very good. They pick up stuff almost anything else leaves behind.
Think i might look into the dyson. Sorry to hear about Yawnie though, he sounds like a delightful cat.

We went through a couple of "dust buster" types over the years and decided we needed something better with 5 cats at that time. And Lucky has the finest hair I've ever seen - tough to pick up.
We shopped around and I did some research. Finally settled on the V10 Animal. I'm sure they have different models by now but tha thing picks up stuff everything else misses. Our Other larger Dyson from years ago and the Kirby have both been sitting most of the time since we got that Animal.

One of my all-time favorites.... he was attached to me and insisted on being with me all the time.
This is about 3 months before he reached such a bad point there was no pulling him back.

200# of scrap metal I had laying around the property. Poles from one of those tarped carports that got destroyed in 50mph wind a few months ago, coil springs and control arms from wife's JLUW that I replaced with 392XR suspension, cast iron bench that everyone seemed to own at one time and misc. scrap.

All in it took me about one hour of work and 30 minutes of drive time, all to come out with $15.00 in my pocket.

Koko and Tuvak are "the fellas", or "the tonk boys" - Tonkinese brothers. I believe Koko has gone deaf....
then there's the silver bullet, 'fluffy butt' herself, Lucky who came to us as a teeny kitten waaay too young to be away from mama. How the heck she got here alive I'll never know.
And Pickle. He's an ARL rescue cat, I suspect he's at least part Maine Coon as he's big and looks like those I've seen at shows.

THE TONK BOYSSS. I love it. Awhhh fluffy butt sounds like she was meant to find you. Pickle seems very majestic, never seen a maine coon IRL but one day I will lol. Thanks for entertaining us with some wholesome cat reading.
