I had those same steps on my Tundra. loved them ... except for one thing. we were taking the dog to get her nails clipped. something we have to do every 3 weeks or they get like bear claws. anywho, one morning the dog is loading up to go. she got one of nails stuck in one of those holes while stepping up to jump in.

oh my lawd, you've never heard such wailing in your life. I was trying to lift her up so she could slide her nail out. she is a stout 78lbs. her trying to get away while yelping was crazy. finally got her out and she hated those steps from that day forward.

ended up keeping a 1x6 in the back floor board and would lay it down on there. she still hated it, but at least there wasn't going to be WWIII over it.

Dealer changed fluids for the transfer case & front and rear axles. I forgot to ask why the rear diff was leaking before I came in though.

I finished fabricating and installing a bed rack to hold my Power Tank. First picture is the first fit up. Second picture is adding 1/8” flat expanded metal with a block out for the bed light. Last picture is the final install. Didn’t drill any new holes in the bed for the install. Used the 6mm x 1.0 two top holes (passenger side)and the 3/4” diameter hole by the rear bed tie down. Used two pieces of 1” diameter x 1 1/4” length x 1/8” wall thickness welded behind the the two top 6 mm bolts to ensure it was perfectly flat against the bed contour. Also made sure the top handle on the PT bottle was level with the bed cap so it didn’t interfere with the Rugged Ridge folding cover bed closing. Did a test drive on a washboard road near my house and no movement of the tank on the rack.

Fighting “loose steering” after tightening all linkage bolts to specifications as well as ball joints (all were below or well below spec), I torqued the steering box bolts to 99ft lbs, they were well below. Drove the truck and she feels pretty good. 50k miles, 4” Clayton lift with diesel springs and RC Vertex shocks.
Yesterday, had the second windshield installed, not bad considering the 6 or 7 our JKU had.

Killer fab work! Guessing that turned out rock solid ie nothing is moving about. Do power tanks work slanted like that or do you take it off the bracket before use?

Installed a molle panel on my rack. Loosened rack bolts and slightly shifted it then tightened it all back up. Started mocking up custom bracket to mount between rack bars and contain the propane tank and a hook for the hose.

Added some hinge steps. Originally ordered some Hooke Off-Road steps which seemed nice - teeth in the steps for grip, 1941 cutout, but the steel apparently rusts very quickly.

These are aluminum and actually provide proper conical spacers that sit in where the factory bolts go. I also like how they use small bearings/balls that snap into little divots to hold the step closed (as opposed to the plastic feeling thumbscrew in the other set). Overall happy with them, hopefully they hold up.

Added Rock Jock bearing spacer. The Mopar 2 inch lift kit doesn't come with one or requires it, but Dana/Spicer recommends them for 2 inches and higher. It did straighten out the drive shaft midspan.

Those work great. have over 5” of lift put on some 1 3/4” carrier bearing spacers and zero issues wheeling it hard.

Can you show some pics/explain your rationale for the awning on your cab, how it works with your tent and when camping?
Haven’t sent many set up like that.

They work upright or slanted, the only no no is storing them flat, it can clog up the regulator. I built this shop dolly awhile back, made out of scrap 3/16” to give it better balance from dragging it around the shop by the hose.
