I would say red so it would contrast better with body color or leaving black. Might even help a little with the LED spot issue. Then a red perimeter lens or clear?
I'll work on it after I finalize the first designI would say red so it would contrast better with body color or leaving black. Might even help a little with the LED spot issue.
Favorite of alllll of them.
My thoughts exactly!Favorite of alllll of them.
please mass produce these, I need someFigured I would share my progress, and would love criticism, likes, ideas, other style lights, let me have it all......
Keep in mind this is still in prototype stage. Still have to add side markers. Make a finer 3d printed housing. Current housing is ruff draft quality for fast print times .![]()

We will see how they look when it's complete. As cool as the new lights are, and believe me, they're nice, I worry about the longevity of the LED strips being used. And if they need to be changed, the lens replacement could be problematic.
Personally, I like the idea of being able to swap out a tail light off the shelf if there is a failure. Your previous design (posted below) would pretty much allow for that. Don't kill me, but I still feel like the actual housing is lacking a bit of depth or something on the sides. The super smoothness almost makes me feel like it is unfinished. Maybe the design below with the marker lamp profile of your latest design?
At this point I am just being super picky though....you keep making these lights better and better. All in all, awesome work!
