I disabled the TPMS and Tire Size with my JSCAN and lost all of my HVAC controls. I tried to program it with the doors off and didn't realize opening and closing the driver's door was part of the process, I'm guessing this is what caused the issue. I put the doors back on and tried to revert the changes, reset the ECU, etc. but nothing worked. I finally gave up and did a restore to factory settings, now I have everything working except for the ability to change the temp. It is stuck on full hot. Also, I noticed the climate controls look different now. It almost seems like it installed the software for non dual climate controls. The top pic is what it looks like now and the bottom is what it used to look like. Any ideas?

Radio has gone to a default mode and needs to do a couple of cold reboots. That means power off, doors locked and a few hours being left alone (overnight is best) before it re-configures to actual build settings. It might take more than one cold reboot before everything goes back to normal.

No changes after sitting in the garage last night, although the doors weren't locked. We'll see if 8 hours locked in my work parking lot do anything. Thanks for the tip, I hope that's all it is.

I've never done the opening and closing doors thing - not sure where it even comes from. All I've ever done is waited - and the changes showed up. Some show up right away, others take over-night to propagate into the radio to "see" them.

Hootbro knows about these things big-time so he's likely to know if it is indeed the default mode.
All I know is that I make changes, I push the big round button to take it out of run mode (turn the truck off), grab my phone and close jscan, I leave the vehicle and the next day I see changes in the radio menu.
Tire size changes, that sort of thing - those take effect immediately. it's only things I'd see in the radio that seem to need to travel from one module to another to be seen.
Also when messing with the wires at the security gateway - others have seen issues when they didn't get a good clean firm connection back into the gateway. Pulling the wires back out, then plugging in again has fixed more than one issue for a couple of people. I use extensions so I don't have to mess with the connections clear up at the gateway device itself.

Be aware that if you have a legit shop that does things legally and correctly, and your vehicle comes in with TPMS disabled, if they know the law, they may not send it back out disabled, a dealer that's worth a crap would re-enable it. Most shops don't know what they are doing, let alone the laws so they probably won't even notice it. Why would they even know?

No, it is just a default setting because it lacks the "as built" configuration. The radio talks to the CAN C Bus via the security gateway module. It needs to see what other modules are on the bus and what configuration they are in to write a config file to the radio. From there, the radio after a cold reboot or two then populates itself and the associated display setting to support.

When he did the factory default reset, that wiped out the config memory. Basically the same thing happens if the battery(s), radio fuses or the radio itself is disconnect for a length of time.

It may or may not need the door open/close/lock sequence. I just know there is a layered structure in how the various modules sleep and wake up on a bus and how they prioritize talking to each other listening or prioritizing certain bus traffic.

Doing the door open/close/lock sequence sets it up so all the modules will eventually go to sleep rather than some basically have "one eye open". This sets up that when the cold wake up on next entry and vehicle start, all the modules will fully rack and stack their message traffic with each other.

It assumes you are done for a while, locked and done.
Otherwise you wait longer for things to decide you are done for a while. (over-night)
Whether or not any of that is needed would depend on the changes you made. Some simply take effect.

Betting it's this. After bypassing my lawn mower battery I let mine sit for 24 hours and all of my controls and icons went back to normal.

You basically did a cold restart of the radio, etc. by having batteries disconnected for a while. Took time for it to "read" the info from the other modules and get it's configuration.

Oddly when disconnecting both batteries on my 2020 and doing a charge of each, independently, and resetting the IBS - when I put it back together, it all operated as if never apart. I found that 'interesting' as it was apart long enough it should have mattered.

This may be irrelevant, but the 'recirculate' button on the two screens are different. One shows JK the other JL... no idea if that is critical or if it indicates an incorrect 'load' of the software...
