I take this to mean they are having difficulty hybridizing the JT or want to leapfrog that dev cost and go straight to electric. If this is indeed the case, then my theory of the next JT losing the solid axles may hold - unless a supplier comes up with a motorized-differential axle.So I stayed for the Q&A and the last thing asked and spoken about was Jim saying "there's nothing new to announce today, but I want to reiterate that ALL Jeeps in the Jeep lineup will be ELECTRIFIED BY 2025" and then ended the stream.
The round air vents recall the iconic round headlamps, agreed.I checked out the new 24 JL and did not like the radio with the horizontal AC vents. Personal preference. Keeping my 2021.
Does the steal bumper group for the Mojave include the bed rock rails? I see where it says something to the effect of sill rock protectors but that almost sounds like the one that runs under the door sills. Here's a screenshot of the Functional Packages on the Sport S via the ordering screen

Standard equipment states "XGS- Protection Sill Rails" so I would assume this is for the bed extension.Does the steal bumper group for the Mojave include the bed rock rails? Did you see where the Bikini Blue is coming out in 2024? It says late availability.Bet your happy ass if there was a Hemi or 4xe option there would be a good amount of members trading or buying...........BUT nothing. So we will continue to express our lack luster approval of the "updates"
If they had dropped a Bikini blue 4xe or Hemi.........I'd be ordering.
Mojave's already came with the rock rails, so thats not new.Does the steal bumper group for the Mojave include the bed rock rails? I see where it says something to the effect of sill rock protectors but that almost sounds like the one that runs under the door sills.
Not on the bed. The Mojave is getting the steel rear bumper and bed corner sliders nowMojave's already came with the rock rails, so thats not new.
I did see that.Did you see where the Bikini Blue is coming out in 2024? It says late availability.
You could really parse the use of "electrified" too. Jeep could simply do a mild hybrid aka "eTorque" with the 3.6 (like Stellantis does in the Ram) and then say the Gladiator is technically "electrified" by 2025. I doubt that though because why wait this long. I agree that something is in progress and the Gladiator's 4xe will look different from what's currently in the Wrangler.I take this to mean they are having difficulty hybridizing the JT or want to leapfrog that dev cost and go straight to electric. The Wrangler isn't meant to tow or haul in the manner of the JT, hence losing a 1,000lbs of towing is less a competitive hit. The JT of course, having just added a few lbs of towing, has to compete under the towing metric. A heavy battery pack diminishes towing.
There are smart engineers out there who can work these problems I'm sure and I expect they are on it, but the follow on inference is that the next platform will be new from the ground up.
