Saw a YT vid promoting these new JoyYutus 'doors off' mirrors that mount to the inside grab handle instead of a door hinge. They look kinda cool and the limited Amazon reviews are mostly ok. So I will buy them and hope they are stable at speed and provide better vision than my current Lange Coyote doors-off mirrors (which are kinda ok, except the passenger side vision is almost useless). Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C6F997GR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks, I'd spring for something grab-handle mounted like that for $100 if the quality is decent.

Curious what you think of them.

Interesting design. Would like to hear if you can detach the mirror arm (step 1 in the install video) but leave the grab handle mount attached and get your doors back on without any interference.

There is a nifty mirror relocation kit for the old TJs
that I really like.
Move them once and forget it.
Unfortunately, that method will not work on the JT.

Before discovering that kit, I wrote to Jeep Chrysler
and suggested that the mirror hinge bolt
be the same size as the door hinge bolt
so the mirrors could be moved from the doors
to the door hinges
once the doors were removed.

They dismissed the idea and
replied that they had engineers for that.

I replied that maybe the mirror engineers
should talk to the door engineers.

It's been awhile since I had a TJ with mirrors like that, but I seem to remember only half the passenger mirror being visible when the doors were on. And the doors smacking the mirrors until I shortened the straps to the point where the doors no longer opened as far as they used to.

I didn't really care for them.

Two problems with these: The door hits the mirror if you like having it open wide. You also can't see the passenger mirror because it's forward and behind the A pillar from the driver's seat.

Having just gotten rid of the last of my motorcycles I will say NO to anything branded Indian or Harley. It's usually a $20 part that gets up-charged until your wallet bleeds. I'm sure it works but ... no thank you.

What's useless?
1. Small mirror is hard to see from drivers seat.
2. Mirror makes objects look much further away than they are, resulting in not trusting mirror and craning neck to check without relying on mirror.
3. Totally hidden when soft doors are on.

I do like the Coyotes (better than door hinge mounted mirrors). I'm just hoping for something better.
