3.5" Overland+ is installed. My shop kept the rear Moper 2" Fox shocks installed instead of the new Fox shocks that I bought from Clayton. He noticed right away that at full droop, the springs unseat. Sadly, I didn't know about this until after the fact. That said, has anyone with the 3.5 installed retainer clips on the rears to prevent this? I don't want to go the strap route and am hoping someone has a recommendation on clips.

I really wish I knew about this before the install...

Thanks in advance for any thoughts/recommendations.

How are you unseating coils with shocks that should be too short?

I'm not. My shop was installing the new shocks and noticed they would unseat, so he held off installing the new ones and kept the old ones in place for now.

Yes, I have the Falcon Adjustable Shocks and the rear shocks are a long 32". I have the Clayton 3.5" springs, and they were coming loose. I just added the Teraflex coil spring retainer kit. It is easy to install, you just have to lift the truck high from the trailer hitch to loosen the rear springs, then, install the Teraflex kit. Get some wood blocks to use with your floor jack to get the rear end up high in the air. Here is a link to the kit below. It is an easy fix.

Thanks. I'm taking a look at those. The only other issue that came up is potential binding of the driveshaft at full droop. I think I am going to go the teraflex route. I appreciate the responses.

I changed my front driveshaft to an Adams.
The rear driveshaft angle is easily solved with a rockjock driveshaft carrier bearing spacer. This is easy to install and you can keep the rear drive shaft.
