Oil change and tire rotation at the dealer yesterday. They do a good job just as long as I remind the service lady 5 not 6. That’s all I say lol. Installed one of these console things. I had an Amazon credit so I gave it a try for 25 bucks.

Hello from the other side! Related - how many people know what DZUS fasteners are?

I threw on the 37s during lunch. I realize I need taller jack stands and a taller jack.

The Patagonia A/TR is a "bulgy" tire, a very round sidewall, but quite quiet (those that can't spell won't get that joke). I took a spin around the neighborhood. I need to re-torque and then I'll do a speed run.

@Discount Tire I do wish you guys wouldn't use sticky tape for the wheel weights. A few weren't properly adhered, so I'm afraid sooner or later some are going to fly off.

I know what a zues fastener is, even how to say it.

Depending on what kind of jack you have, you might be able to get an extension. Unless of course you are just wanting an excuse to get a new jack.

a might-be-possible pipe dream is a small garage renovation with a hi-lift door retrofit and a 2-post lift.

I need to talk with my home builder. I understand cost measures, but if you're making a garage with 10'+ ceilings, at least put one door in with high-lift rails.

@MPMB Sorry to hear that you are having issues with weights falling off. Tape weights are typically used when there is no lip on the wheel to attach a clip on style weights. If the mounting surface is cleaned properly, they shouldn't come loose/off. I will be happy to assist in making sure the issue is corrected. Sending a DM your way.

Finally got the wheels I’ve had in my garage for 3 months installed (managed to get NOS JK AEV Saltas and 37” KO2s for bargain basement prices).

I have a diesel and the fuel filler flap has now been removed. For those that don't know, diesel pumps are supposed to have different sized fillers at the auto gas pump...this prevents users from filling up with gasoline by mistake........ I love mommy jeep protecting us but sometimes we need to make our own high risk decisions.

Some stations that service farm equipment/ 18 wheelers use different sizes that wont work with the from the factory fuel nozzle. The factory fuel flap prevents usage of these odd size fuel nozzles.


Jeep included a tiny fuel nozzle to solve this problem but using it would take 15-20 minutes to slowly fill the tank without overflowing.

now I have removed the flap assembly so i can use any diesel nozzle the station has.

So I finally finished this today....apparently I was grabbing too much of the tube and insert with the large channel locks and broke the lip on the one from the factory 2 weeks ago. I am pretty much all thumbs at times and am a little rough on getting things apart ( I was a Soldier for 30+ years....guaranteed that if someone says it is unbreakable...we can break it).

Ordered the wrangler one listed in here from BAM...got here yesterday. since it is like half the JT price.... used dremel to make the plastic tabs lower thru the slots before removing from tube.

I pried old one out and put new insert in and it looks good. Plus when i went to fuel up the tank the EDT fuel additive went into the tank vs down the side of the discriminator and just sat there and dripped over the edge around the filler like the last few tanks.
