Agreed. I was in for the batteries going bad again, so no big deal.

They ordered the parts, he’s guessing 6 months out. ? What a crap show.
They warranty them ?

I just called my dealer. My pump is in. I have a feeling that’s it’s been in. I’m so pissed. They can’t schedule until the end of January. I don’t know if this is a sector wide issue, but it’s impossible to get in to get service for anything. Was anyone told that they have to bring the Jeep in on empty?

Edit:
Just got the quote.
Is $324 normal for an oil change in these trucks? $119 to drain the fuel/water separator? As far as I’m concerned, all this shit should be free after getting dicked around for a year from Jeep and 3 months from the dealership.

Talked to another dealership while out and about. They said, definitely get the pump replaced if they’ve already got me in the queue but that $325 for an oil change seems nuts.

I'm scheduled for the Z96 HPFP Safety Recall next Tuesday. The information that I saw from Sallantis said that if the Jeep was running all the dealer would replace is the fuel pump which would take 1.7 hours.

My Gladiator has about 47,000 miles and has ran perfectly, so I'm expecting in and out in half a day ..... WRONG !!! I just spoke with the service department and they told me to expect that my Gladiator will be tied up for one to two days.

Apparently there is a soft ware update, which is part of the repair that takes 4 hours. I think that as much press as this recall has received that this would have been mentioned on this forum?

I didn't think anyone has mention a software update yet. My service writer said about 2 hrs for swapping out the pump.

Just had mine done. All they replaced was the pump and they had it for a week. That being said, they could have just sat on it until I called asking what the eta was after they had it for 3 days. On the fifth day of them having it I called to ask when it would be done and they said it had been done earlier that day. You’d think they would get it done faster so they wouldn’t have to pay for my rental car for a week.

Mine was done in a 1/2 day, dropped off in the morning and got a call around lunch that it was done. No mention of a software update on the paperwork.

Has anyone been told they have to bring the truck in on dead empty? I’m not fond of the idea of running down to the bottom of the tank.

Might be in prep for dropping the tank. Kinda odd if they think your lift pump is affected without even checking.

The girl on the phone said something about replacing my injectors. I didn’t even get to talk to my service writer. I think their wires are crossed. I’m only eligible for the pump if I can drive in under my own power per the recall. I’m only going to get the pump replaced and then change dealers. You can’t get anyone beyond the receptionist on the phone anymore.

I'm hearing that the soft ware update is Bull Shit. What could be a reason that the dealer would keep the vehicle longer than necessary?

They let it sit there until they’re done with the other work that makes them more money.
