I haven't tried it in drive, but if you shift to reverse with the door open, it will go into auto-park, but if you go back to park, then reverse again it says, "auto-park disabled" and continue. It very well may do the same for drive(forward). The safety feature may be there just to prevent accidental engagement and shifting to park and back to D or R may satisfy the system for purposeful movement.It will move with the seat belt buckled. No Tazer needed.
