my wife had one of those. it swung around wildly and would smack the window on occasion. took it off, stored and forgot about, until a few weeks ago during a clean out I found it and tossed it.

I added some additional tiedowns to the bed. I wanted anchor points higher up so I could lash things like propane bottles from falling over. I was thinking about about DIY trail rails using unistrut, but I decided to start simple with four additional tiedowns. I found some stainless tiedowns on Amazon, but I wanted them to swivel so they could pull in any direction. I couldn't find anything premade, so a turned four stepped bushings on the lathe (made from a 1/2" stainless bolt), and sandwiched the bushing and tiedown between two fender washers. The bushing is just long enough that the tiedown isn't clamped tightly when the bolt is tightened, so it can swivel freely.

Was under the JT today. Retorquing any loose nuts and bolts on the suspension. Found one on the rear lower control arm axle mount. Greased the Core 4x4 lower control arms and track bar. Everything else looked good. Installed the 4 grab handles I got for Christmas.

Outstanding. Have a safe trip and Merry Christmas!
Hey brother here are a few pictures. Not the best quality... you can see the marker light is very visible. The strobe function is very noticeable to trailing vehicles. The white backup light also sheds lots.of extra light although in the rain the backup camera is the limitation.

Changed fluids in both diffs (41,000 miles). Rear fluid was dark as expected, LOT of sludge on the drain plug which I also expected from watching other videos given it has an LSD.

Front fluid looked brand new, definitely wasted my time and money on that one lol

Also scheduled a drop off to let the dealer look at my transmission and check to see if something is funky. Getting intermittent rough shifts, wondering if it's hydraulic or perhaps clutch related. Talked to a GM master tech and he said it doesn't sound like synchros to him, but he also doesn't have much experience with manual trans.
