Honestly, the only reason I suggest the Nitros is the width of the tire for the stock rim. Many places will not put a 12.5 wide tire on the stock jeep wheel. They say 11.5 is fine but 12.5 is unsafe. Not sure if it is a huge difference, but that’s why I go Nitto. They are the only tires I can find in 37x11.5 r 17.
I purchased my 37x12.50 17's form America/discount tire and left my rig there to get installed on the stock wheels and I got DENIED and told nothing under 8 1/2" for 12.50 wide tires . I had to get different wheels for my local America tire to mount them .

Yep. The 2 inch rule. Stock wheel at 7.5 wide can get 11.5 tires. Any bigger, need new wheels. Safety issue or money making scheme?? ?

Give me your opinion on minimum lift I will need to run these stock wheels without rubbing or anything else you might want to let me know.
Don't cheap out on the lift. I have a 2.5" EVO lift with 37 KO2s and that is plenty of clearance even with a full load in the bed. What do they say? Buy once, Cry once? Sound advice.

Clayton Overland 2.5+ kit got me 3.5” of lift. Method bead grips hold the KO2s down to single digit psi. No dragging. And it’s yellow so I got that going for me…

37" BFG KO2 on stock wheels and no lift or wheel spacers.

Do/did I rub? Yes. Rubbed the inner fender liner in the front. I put two washers in the steering stops and trimmed a little of the liner.

Granted, it's a Mojave and a little taller than yours stock. Keeping a low center of gravity was my goal. Discount Tire installed my 12.50 wide tires on stock wheels with no questions or issues.

You are going to need wheel spacers. I'm using the Teraflex 3/4" on mine.
What I did was get a 2.5 tera flex lift and then bought all the other stuff like track bar shocks etc.. be hard pressed to do it right for just 1000.00 I'd say I have about 2000.00 just in the right stuff so it would drive right.

Yep. 2" springs, 2" shocks, track bars, either lower front control arms or geo brackets.

How about the mopar 2inch if I were going more expensive? Do you think 2inches would be enough?
I have the MOPAR lift on mine, with stock rubicon wheels and the BFG 37's. I have had no rubbing at all and I'm not using any wheel spacers.

I have had BFG's on 4 different Jeeps - 2 JKs, 1 JL and my current JT. Never have had an issue with dry, wet or snow performance. If your alignment is off, they will wear fast on the edges, though. Keep the toe-in proper and you should be more than fine. Just my $0.02 (and worth both pennies) and I do not have experience with the NIttos to give a comparison.

Stock Rubicon wheels are 17x7.5 with a +44mm offset (5.98 backspace) just for reference.

Do you have wheel spacers, or are these aftermarket wheels? They look to be aftermarket. I like the look either way.
